Im thinking some of the roofs have been done already.

The rear roofs certainly perhaps as they are a lot darker compared to the blue that we see towards the front.

Tbh its interesting to see how they are doing this colour scheme so far. The concept art made me think we were seeing a return to its 2007+ style. But the darker blue roofs and outright grey scheme is 100% that of the early 2000s.

Although its interesting to see the gold in the upper areas staying. The concept art seemed to show some gold remaining in areas so perhaps they are here to stay as gold?

Tbh I think they are a bit too gold and maybe need to be a brighter shade but time will tell if they are finished with those towers yet.

Fun fact: Cinderella Castle has gotten 0.5% bigger since 1971… from paint alone!
I still want to know if the castle cake pink is hidden under all of those layers! Really, though, I would love to see the castle fully refinished and detailed a la Paris' castle makeover that got new hand-chiseled slate roofs and turrets and new plaster. Up close, MK's castle definitely shows its layers and lumps and bumps everywhere.

I'm pretty sure the current layer is just primer. They'll add a coat of the actual paint once priming is complete.
I don't know about the upper reaches (I think I remember a multi step process) but I watched them do a wall at Sir Mickey's and it took about 10 days with layer upon layer of glaze until it looked like stone. I think the shingles take two coats to get the final look.

Can’t wait for this look. And I’m talking the obvious lack of repainting they can do. If you make it grey, and creme white as they are, you don’t have to spend the cash to maintain it.
