MK Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Isn't that basically just a re-tread of the Spiderman IOA ride vehicles? Like they did for the new Peter Pan Ride at Fantasy Springs?...and if using this ride system I think we would be assured it would be mostrly screen based...which would be a bummer...

That's what Avengers is looking to be. Unfortunately, the set/screen integration in Peter Pan's Neverland Adventure is apparently so seamless that many people mistake it for a screen-only ride, i.e., a standard 3-D simulator. If that's the ride system they're using for the villains dark ride (which I hope it isn't), my fingers are crossed that they learned a lesson from Neverland Adventure...

I don’t know that the ride system would dictate the amount of screens that would be used in the ride. You can easily make a 3D simulator with a trackless ride if you wanted to and just have it go from screen to screen but you can also have Rise of the Resistance. Same goes for boat rides or omnimovers. Admittedly the system being mentioned in your original conversation does get used in a lot of 3D simulators but that doesn’t mean it’s the only thing that can be done with it.

Exactly. Jurassic World Adventure in Universal Beijing uses those same SCOOP vehicles, but with primarily physical effects (no 3D)

does anyone have any guesses on what the name of the land might be @lentesta does Jim have any guesses or predictions?
Not trying to sound poo-poo ish, but, does it really matter? Galaxy's Edge is 99% referred to as 'Star Wars land'. Avenger's Campus is referred as Marvel Land, Pandora, the world of avatar is called Avatar land. No one gives a crap what the lands are called.

when people visiting the parks are having a conversation about going to epcot for the day, they're just saying, 'what rides should be hit in Epcot?', then look at the map and find the attraction, and say, 'oh, it's in xyz land'. That's about how much thought visitors put into the titles.
