On the other hand, the ones suggested by the art behind Harryhausen's also aren't shown, unless those just aren't happening anymore. The last remaining one from Streets of America is shown.

Don't you get it? Theme Parks aren't an art form. They are dumb entertainment for dumb people, and those people are not going to care whether a park has a coherent concept or has elements from other lands visible in a land and breaks the continuity. (sarcasm)It has to deal with a “tough corner” because it’s a terribly planned project. The problem is entirely of Disney’s creation, just as with the awful placement of Tron or the miserable placemaking of TSL or the new EPCOT hub. Disney management seems to be making poorly planned decisions reacting to immediate perceived crises and paying little to no attention to the actual layout or future development of the parks.
Had that gelato a week ago.Just in the one day since these photos were taken, the construction wall has come out a few feet onto Grand Ave and the gelato cart that was on the sidewalk has been relocated.
It's a playground in the most recent art.Do we have any educated guesses as to what is to the left of the coaster entrance under the green sun shades? Meet and greet space? Play area?
Money that I'd rather was invested in the park proper. And it wasn't always that way. Took a while to get it done.
I can't imagine they have any desire to have a phased opening with this project. I think it would be a mistake to open with just the new show and not the new coaster. It would feel like such a let down.Does the work in this courtyard reflect they are moving extremely slow to spread out costs (and yes mitigate operation costs) or are they moving fast towards a phased opening or something else all together?
Don't disagree, but not if it's a "Welcome to the land" sort of show.I can't imagine there they have any desire to have a phased opening with this project. I think it would be a mistake to open with just the new show and not the new coaster. It would feel like such a let down.
I think we're going to be getting answers for everything being built right now at D23 2026... opening up D23 2028 to be all new info on the stuff coming from 2030-2035!Don't disagree, but not if it's a "Welcome to the land" sort of show.
It would be very meta.
Either way I think we get answers at D23.
I think it’s a sign they are now doing work in the courtyard, full stop. To read more would be pure speculation on independent variables.Does the work in this courtyard reflect they are moving extremely slow to spread out costs (and yes mitigate operation costs) or are they moving fast towards a phased opening or something else all together?
That's a very specific shape they're cutting out on the front facade. Does that match up with where the new marquee will go according to the concept art?
It matches the newer art currently on the construction wall, yes. That's a very specific shape they're cutting out on the front facade. Does that match up with where the new marquee will go according to the concept art?
I think so, the updated concept art showed a green section on the front facade where the first one shows what was originally going to be just brickThat's a very specific shape they're cutting out on the front facade. Kind of feels like the facade transformation for this will be done pretty quickly. Good to see them moving fast.I think so, the updated concept art showed a green section on the front facade where the first one shows what was originally going to be just brick View attachment 907536
Why is fast good? Disney builds to not only last, but to last under brutal sun exposure and hurricanes.Kind of feels like the facade transformation for this will be done pretty quickly. Good to see them moving fast.
Disney addresses those concerns the same as everyone else in Central Florida. They’re not spending more time to do something more. Why is fast good? Disney builds to not only last, but to last under brutal sun exposure and hurricanes.
