I always forget how bad the mountains on sticks look, shocking it’s been half a decade and they still haven’t extended them. I know it’s an out of park issue but with it being so visible to guests it’s a really bad look

I dont see the problem. It would take a lot to extend the rockwork as that concrete weighs thousands of pounds. Theyd have to redo the entire support structure and probably have to redo the roof of the warehouse to support such a massive increase in weight. Even If they extended the rockwork down to the top of the warehouse it would still look terrible from that view. No point unless they were gonna theme the entire backside of the warehouse to blend in and that would be pretty dumb imo

Galaxies edge at DL looked identical to this when they first built it and they thankfully came back and extended the peaks and added some detail to the back of the buildings after realizing how bad it looked. Didn’t require additional support beyond some mesh wiring and spraying on a thin concrete skin. No reason they couldn’t do the same at HS other than they don’t care.

Is it perfect? No, still far from it, compared to HS it looks like a work of art though.

I agree - between that and the back of Everest, they really should do something. It looks cheap in my opinion.

The backside of Everest is barely visible from the parking lot anymore

And the backside of SWGE will be hidden from guest parking by the door coaster
I’ve never noticed the back of Everest wasn’t themed, it must not jump out at you like the peaks on sticks at least.

I hadn’t even thought of that with the door coaster show building, I hope you’re right, it’s been a pet peeve of mine since they built GE.

Everest, I never see it. Pandora however, I wish they would modify the whole bus entry in some way. Chain link fences and clearly seeing back side of Pandora (more than SWGE and Everest) is a bigger glaring problem by far. Especially when it’s the first visual for all busses.

The plaza faces the bottom side of the Rise show building
The rocks on sticks are all on the opposite side of the land
All they need here is a few trees to cover a 2 story show building

Look at the aerial photos of the construction, not the concept art. A huge back-of-house area is going to be made visible by the Monsters courtyard. Disney has shown absolutely no willingness to theme that sort of thing beyond a coat of paint. My suspicion is that they’ll hand wave the issue since Monsters is an industrial building and the newly exposed structures are vaguely industrial, albeit with a completely different aesthetic.

Well if that happens I'll just blame you for noticing and caring and not the corporation who paid a team of designers to spend years of their lives and countless millions crafting an aesthetic experience.
