The disheartening part is the Settlement now looks like it is in the same "Wilderness" as Central Park.
2027. That hasn't changed since it was announced. When is this pig with lipstick gonna open?
I think the problem is that Disney has become ok with 'just fine', as any traditional hotel chain would if they were tasked with this project.I think when it’s all set and done, it’ll look just fine from whatever views from other resorts people see it. A very curious about the A-frame cabins, they look like a nice addition.
The funny thing is, they renamed that other side “Clemintine’s Beach” and thought we wouldn’t notice.Nope. You aren’t misreading. It goes all the way to the dock. The other side of the beach is still there. But, yeah….you didn’t misread.![]()
I’m more meant that it’ll be fine as in. It’s not all doom and gloom and should turn out to look very nice in the end result, but yes, I also agree that the standard of theme used to be much much higher. If Josh is to be believed that he likes to take big risks, maybe we will see another highly themed hotel sometime in the future, but who knowsI think the problem is that Disney has become ok with 'just fine', as any traditional hotel chain would if they were tasked with this project.
They used to separate themselves with creativity and immersiveness that brought us the Contemporary, Poly, GF, WL, AK, BW, etc. Eisner used to hire innovative architects and seek out new ideas - he even tried to build a crazy Mickey shaped hotel at one point
Search for posts in this thread by @HauntedPirate . He has posted lots about the amenities, layout, room breakdowns etc.Has anyone seen the layout of the new rooms (cash, DVC, cabins, + treehouses)? I'm a bit new to the page, and there's 191 pages of content, lol. Would love to see any layouts, if they're available, aside from whatever concept art got released from the "Reflection Days".
I have been summoned.Paging @HauntedPirate !

I appreciate you checking. Not a big deal if there weren't any useful layouts available. I'm a nerd who likes an interesting floorplan, so I figured I'd ask. Thanks!Give me a bit of time to dig up some info. @lentesta posted a virtual fly-through of an A-frame mockup a while back. I can try to get some layouts but from what I recall, these are basically regular cash and DVC room layouts (except the two cash suites).

I believe Lenai?List of abbreviations with the rooms:
- -A = ADA Accessible
- -D = Dedicated (i.e., not a lock-off)
- -FL = Florida's version of ADA Accessible
- -H = Hearing-impaired communication features
- K = king bed
- -L = ???
- -LO = Lock-off
- QQ = Two queen beds
- -S = shower
- -T = tub

The Vice-Presidential Suite is covered in watermarks - sorry.
I'm confident that the boxed numbers in each diagram, like [8066], are the room numbers. So we know all the room numbers and their bed/tub/villa/ADA configurations.
I don't know if Disney's published the "view types" yet, like Resort/Water etc. If so we could make reasonable guesses about which room has which view type.

Thanks for posting these!! They are probably cleaner images of the rooms than I have. At some point I’ll check the plans I have to see if the VP suite is any cleaner.List of abbreviations with the rooms:
