Which park needs the most urgent attention?

Depends on the perspective. Arguably Epcot was the least in need of immediate attention because it’s getting the least attention.

As of today DAK > DHS > Epcot = MK

As of post everything we know of occurring;

Epcot = DHS = DAK > MK

DAK desperately needs a night show revival and enough to keep people around for the day who skip out on key experiences. DHS desperately needs to fix up its rotting elder shows and find an all ages family attraction with a low barrier to ride. Epcot needs to deal with its remaining rot. China/France films, Imagination and SSE is overdue for a refurb amongst other closed facilities.

All that said I wouldn’t be surprised if the next thing we hear about is another MK refurb, like Space Mountain… which still wouldn’t be a wrong choice.
Yes I think the only "urgent" thing at Animal Kingdom is to add a night show and talk-up the animal attractions so people actually go to them.

Epcot needs more overall work, Imagination needs fixing and they need to plus some of the World Showcase pavilions with rides or shows.

Hollywood Studios is fine, more atmosphere entertainment in Galaxy's Edge, improve some food and similar.

1) AK
AK prob needs it the very most - I know they're adding Tropical Americas but that's really only one new ride (Encanto) - the rest are replacements. It still won't have a ton to do.

2) HS
I feel like Villains and Cars lands would have been better suited for HS. There's just not that much to do there. MK has too much to do in one day- not really sure why they are adding four more attractions. Monsters Inc land will help but it's really just one ride. The 1-2 ride lands aren't the best for visitors.

3) Epcot
Epcot to me is a full day park. There are enough rides, shops, restaurants, and festivals (almost year round) to fill a whole day. It could use another ride in World Showcase but it's not crazy necessary.

4) MK
Again, MK has so much to do you can't do it all in one day. With the addition of Cars and Villains, it will become a two-day park. Instead of having that, I would have focused on the parks that need it more (or just make a 5th gate with some of these new lands).

I think AK could use 1 or 2 more E-Tickets, but they really have to hype up the garden and animals more. It's the perfect centerpiece for a "go touch grass" campaign.

HS needs 3 or 4 real people eaters and UPDATED shows. Mickey and the Wonderous Book would be fantastic here.

MK needed an expansion in the western half of the park, and is finally getting it. The other thing MK desperately needs is a firework show that doesn't concentrate crowds on one land...

Epcot would benefit from a modernized Journey Pavilion as a whole and at least 2 more attractions in WS like they originally planned. Bring us the bullet train, Germany water ride, and a ride in England.

Until yesterday I would have said Animal Kingdom but now that that has been taken care of. I would say none of the parks need attention because none of them have the pretense of keeping a theme anymore which is ultimately what the Modern Disney Company demands.

I find it interesting how people can say that Epcot has a lot to do compared to Animal Kingdom when the actual ride count isn't that different. A lot of Epcot is filled with the world showcase pavilions, a lot of Animal Kingdom is the animal exhibits and shows. If you take the time out to explore both parks there is quite a bit to do, but skip the smaller "just looking at things" stuff and there is a lot less at both parks.

You make a good point by the end, but the ride count assertion simply isn't correct. With the current Dino closure, I believe AK now has 6 "rides" per se, or 5 if you disregard the Wildlife Express that's about to be closed for conversion to a Bluey meet & greet, of all things. Meanwhile you can go to Epcot today and ride 11 rides (and really if we're gonna count the Wildlife Express, we may as well count the Friendship boats or even the monorail).

Each of them also have shows/movies/etc., but Epcot is way ahead there too. Then you throw in all the browsable museum and zoo type stuff, which I agree is undervalued and adds up to a lot at both parks. Still, Epcot has way more to do, especially as the WS loop manages to turn snacking/drinking/shopping into a themed adventure in itself in a way that you don't quite get at any other park.

One thing both parks have in common is that they should be kept open later into the night.

MK needs LESS attention, urgently and even retroactively. A time machine or Ctrl-Z button would be the best thing for it.

The answer to the original question is clearly Studios, by a country parsec. It needs a reason to exist OTHER than rides.

DAK is my answer

DAK needs more air conditioned dark rides. As much as I criticize the boat ride in Pandora (mostly for being way too short) at least it was one slow moving dark ride in air conditioning. Hopefully the Encanto ride fills that gap.

Yes, there's some very pretty animal exhibits but I have as much fun at Busch Gardens watching animals and it seems easier to get around (Busch Gardens has other problems right now but that's another conversation).

Epcot.

I would say AK because unlike Epcot and HS, theres still time to reverse course and keep its core identity.

But... I long for a return of epcot, sadly.
