Stock down 7%. What a mess Bob is leaving. Josh better be the second coming of Walt because this company is a rudderless ship.
Quite a coincidence that last week the WSJ was citing “sources” that claimed he wanted to spend more time with the wife on “other endeavors”

…his game is played out. There were only two outcomes since he overstayed his welcome and I GUESS this is the more preferable of the two?

Wait you mean Bob is leaving knowing they are going the wrong direction? I’ve seen this episode before. Maybe he’ll come back and save it again after he throws Josh under the bus. I wonder if the same trap is set 👀
Iger is a freaking genius then if he foresaw troubled times three years in advance and arranged for his renewed contract to end at exactly that time.

- On track to repurchase $7 billion of stock

People should think about that the next time the fawn over the $17 billion Disney (may ultimately) invest in the domestic parks. Over a decade. Maybe more. And also go back and find out how much they've put into stock buybacks (which only serves to prop up the stock price) since 2010.
Stock buybacks should be illegal…if that isn’t rigging the system…I don’t know what is short of going to the bank with a ski mask?

As someone who wants change in how the parks are managed this is discouraging, 87% occupancy = no course change needed, we can keep raising prices while cutting perks and people will still show up.

I don’t expect anything to change based on this alone.

The only real cost increase over the last 6-7 years has been the cost of tickets. Value and Moderate hotels have been roughly flat over the years and perks have come and gone.

There’s a piece of data always missing that we’ll NEVER get…

Which is how traffic into wdw from the 500 hotels off property is doing?

It’s not whether Saratoga is teaming with dvc that determines the health of their parks…it’s more the increasingly sparse parking lots at the parks
