I'd be a lot more excited for this project and so many others if they chose to expand instead of replace.
Well, I guess what happened was they realized how popular and cheap it was to add another track to Toy story mania so that was basically what happened to the land where it could’ve sat. Maybe they would’ve had to eliminate the alien sorcerers ride space..I have no idea why they did what they did and why they continue to do what they do. It’s very sad. I mean, I guess I do kind of understand but actually, I don’t because it was never supposed to be Toy story land. It was supposed to be Pixar Palace.

I would be more excited if instead of another monsters inc show going in muppet vision we got a monsters inc family ride there instead so the land had 2 rides
Yes! I completely agree! Let’s face it: there is no way it will be better than Muppet Vision 3D and we have already had Laugh Floor for how many years? Since 2007!!!! A family ride would go a long way to flesh out this land but how would you keep it from being repetitive? Maybe instead of the ride in DL that repeats the movie it is more like hide and go seek (although I imagine that is way too large for the MV3D footprint).

Great point!

I really think it comes down to if it’s better or not because films just don’t have the staying power of a ride, as they are instantly dated and only have so much repeatability: less of a deal in Orlando where you have lots of unique guests but an issue at Disneyland with tons of locals.

I think MuppetVision honestly could’ve been replaced back in the Streets of America closures for Runaway Railway, and making it a spin on Toontown honestly. If they updated Great Movie Ride that would’ve been a better trade-off.

It really did need a new film, either a remake or sequel and to be done with just as high quality, very difficult bar.

MuppetVision was probably their best 3D show, but I don’t think it was going to last until 2050, where as I could have easily seen an updated GMR, or we will almost certainly see Haunted Mansion still there.

Muppets need a home though. Is RNRC what I would’ve thought? No, but they at least are keeping the IP around Snow White style.

I agree with most of your points… But Muppet vision 3-D honestly should’ve been looked at the same way carousel progress is… Even though it took up a little bit of prime real estate… Now as I stop and think about that… That’s what it was… Prime real estate… The way that carousel progress is placed in tomorrowland it’s off to the side and a lot of people don’t know or care that it’s there… I guess the problem with Muppets was it is basically now or was in the center of the park for the most part with galaxy’s edge off to the back… I mean… It wasn’t in the center of the park… They could’ve left it if they wanted to… And just put monsters roller coaster where it was supposed to go and left the land this Pixar place… But there’s a lot of could’ve should’ve in that analogy… I think the best thing to do if they really want to keep hard-core fans is to do this stupid roller coaster redo which we already know is going to happen… then clear out the side and turn that theater into Muppet vision 3-D… If not, just let the Muppets go… Maybe someone else could do something better with them…

I mean, we can all hope the attraction inside will live up to its predecessor, but I can't wait to see how much better that view will look when the overlay is complete. This land will be far more immersive and photo-worthy.
I mean, what can they really do? What are they gonna take the monster props from the soon to be defunct monsters attraction over at California adventure and put them in the balcony or something I don’t see how this attraction can be any better than Muppets there’s no way… But let’s hope for the best

Oh crap… I didn’t realize you were making a joke… I’m going to miss the Muppets
