Pre-Trip Off To Work I Go

Once again duty calls and I'll be heading to WDW to work! Am I a Cast Member? Nope. But I will be bringing a dog to train!

Who? This guy!

His name is Sherman, aka Sherm, aka Shermie, aka P Sherman, 42

Sherman's mom works with my sister and they are good friends so in am exciting twist, my sister will be joining us as well!

Sherman's mom, Patti, travels all around the country and asked if id be willing to fly down with them so she gets some training with him and learns the dos and don'ts of bringing the dog to the airport and airplane.

I prefer driving but agreed to flying down to get some extra training in with her and Sherm. There is a fun bonus. She flies first class and got my ticket to join them so ill get to be fancy for the flight down lol!

Where are we staying? Bay Lake Tower

When are we going? In 2 days! Sunday

There is a potential for snow here in Georgia on Sunday. C (my wife) and I soooo look forward to snow days to just stay home and enjoy the weather amd eat and make some cold day cocktails and watch movies and we may get one good snow per year down her in GA if we're lucky. But missing snow day for Disney is a fair trade off.

Tuesday

It was an AK day!

I stumbled across the Joffreys in Contemporary lobby amd got the shaking Jamaican. I really liked it! I see Molly from Mamoth Club on youtube always talking about it. Definitely worth the hype.

The weather was chilly so we were hoping to see some good action at Safari. My sister stayed back at the room to do some work so Patti, Sherm and I headed out!

Sherms nose was sniffing everything!

We saw a bloat

Elephants were snacking

Cheetahs were sunbathing

And the male Lion was up and looking over his kingdom

Our driver was a trainee. There was a driver trainer sitting next to her and a driver trainer trainer sitting in the second row watching over the driver trainer who was training the driver. I wonder if there was driver trainer trainer trainer somewhere in the back lol

Fun Fact: Patti is an official card carrying member of a roller coaster enthusiast club. One of the larger groups but I cant remember the name. So, when near Everest!

Sherman did well in the kennel

She loved it and was glad to check it off her list!

It was over to FoP next. My sister messaged that she was on the way, finally!

We had some time to kill while my sister was on the way. I had the perfect place in mind! Any guesses as to where we may have gome @NomadLounger ??

Nomad Lounge! Billy was bartending. He is the Nomad Lounge version of Mike from Baseline.

Sherm rested up

My sister arrived and her and Patti were quick to discuss work business

They both have big "ops" presentations coming up so its all business all the time lol

Monday ctd

My sister and Patti headed back to the room adter fireworks and I stayed a bit longer with vets for another round... or three. Those girls are party ani.las and I had to pretend that I could keep up

I must have been tipsy on the way back to the room. I Dont remember taking this photo. Im sure that my drunk brain had a reason but I cant figure out why

And I apparently stopped for a beer somewhere. Im assuming this was Outer Rim. They were still serving the Sam Adam's Winter White, which I love.

I had placed an Instacart order that I must have picked up from fromt desk. And while I dont remember taking this pic below, i know why! Its the soap we use at home and I normally bring a bar down but since I flew down I didn't bring one. I sent this pic to C so she was proud of me

We ordered some snacks while the girls worked

Fancy churos

And charcuterie board

My sister was able to get one ride in with her late arrival...

Sherman enjoyed it. Its difficult to get a picture on this ride without using flash so no Shermie Pic

I got a beer for the walk to front of the park

And of course we had to initiate Patti

She has a great sense of humor and was cracking up when we showed her the picture.

We chirped a pet friendly Lyft to get back

Tuesday ctd...

After a mid day break we headed over to Epcot for our Cosmic Rewind LL

My sister cant ride it due to motion sickness so she waited with Sherman at rider swap

When I Patti amd I met back up with her the CM asked if we were doing rider swap. We said no but she said if we wanted to ride again she would let us! Of course we said yes!

On the way out I grabbed a coffee at the Joffreys near the exit. We follow Adam The Woo on youtube and this is a place he often stopped.

While I did not get a "piping hot caffeinated beverage" as he did, i got a cold brew in honor of him.

And Sherman was exhausted from a lo g day. Resting on the monorail was quickly becoming his favorite thing.

Tuesday ctd...

After a second break at the room I headed back out to meet up with the party squad for Moonlight Magic at AK!


Daratarr is basically the DVC plug!

We started with a drink at Rainforest Cafe

then over to pay our respects to a classic attraction that wouldnt be around much longer

We were definitely the lowdest group in the rover. It was an honor to have my last ride on Dinosaur with @riverside and Darstarr.

We stopped for a beer after the ride and eneded up chatting with the young CM who had moved out from California. A simple question turned into several minutes of us giving her advice on everything from.her relationship to her future at Disney lol! She was very sweet and i got the sense that she really needed and appreciated us letting her vent about her boyfriend and life and us offering our sage advice. Or maybe I was just tipsy and read the moment wrong. @riverside may have a better memory (and photo) of the moment? Chime in Patti!

We sersiously had such a fun time. We stopped for a photo at the Moonlight Magic sign and of course had complete strangers get in our picture. They were passing by and noticed us having a blast so we told them to join in. They clearly wanted me (inside joke)

We found a dance party area jammed away. We were lit lit (as the kids say)

I can't remember if we rode Everest before or after the dance party lol

We took the party over to FoP to finish off the night! I sort of remeber this picture

I cant tell you how much fun we had. I dont think most people could keep up, tolerate or even understand how we do it! Love you @riverside ! And same for Darlene! Thanks for such an awesome night. We are absolutely doing it again!

ETA: Im an idiot (shocker). I just saw Patty posted the picture with the beer cart CM

And it was pretty clear, they wanted me!
