I had to google that emperor thing to be honest…and I’m convinced it’s a web hoax and it didn’t really happen
Why question what you know to be true? This has all been spelled out quite clearly for us. Don’t you find it strange that Chapek stopped being CEO and was never heard from again? What did Bob do to him?

A co-president structure would also be something they could pursue and would match what James Gorman previously did. A bonus for Dana to stay and a title promotion, reports to Josh.
There’s really only one way to say this clearly:
D’Amaro is really just a less awkward version of Chapek

He has been “hanging around” shuffling spots for 25 years…no real outside experience…just there.

He hoodwinked desperate employees during Covid by glad handing them during the fake Iger “retirement”. I will give him credit for that…he has more street sense than Slaphead.

But as long as you have the power hungry twerp controlling the board…the Same patterns will continue. They’re not good patterns either.

This Bob retiring being replaced by another Bob which was then fired and replaced by the retired Bob (now unretired) pending selection of a replacement for Bob which just keeps dragging on in one long melodrama / reality show / soap opera has gotten stale and old. It's as if a group of bored script writers sat down did a little smoke, slugged down a couple of beers and came up with a comical story line to fill some time. The board needs to get serious.

That seems to be how everything feels right now.

…it would be like doing a remake of Star Wars and calling it “all new”…but that would be laughable

(Too soon?)

Chapek received worth over $20 million, with about $6.5 million in remaining base salary and about $1 million as a pro-rated target bonus. He received almost $13 million in accelerated Disney stock.

And the series got signed & will be streamed on Disney+

Wait… some people are saying Iger’s stock grants and options aren’t counted as compensation because the company would have to go bankrupt for them to be worthless. But the same people are telling us the company isn’t going bankrupt. So… which is it? Just so I can keep track of the Iger booty smooching.

You know what's funny?

🤷‍♂️ It is all part of his compensation package that the board approved. Honestly, I don't really care what he makes as he isn't really an outlier in that regard....

The new CEO will probably make close to that amount...or maybe more...

The Walt Disney Corporation is worth less than it was a decade ago (after adjusting for inflation). Iger had destroyed billions in company value, and yet they pay him that much.

He wasn’t the only CEO during that decade, which I know the conspiracists among us have a hard time accepting. And even if they don’t accept it, all the baggage was thrown on the back of Bob 2, fairly or unfairly.

His evaluation as far as the company is concerned runs from 2005-early 2020 and from the depths of his most recent return (with all the mostly resolved dramatic baggage) until now.
