Im sure there will be more landscaping/placemaking separating Liberty sq and piston peak, I just have limited artistic ability lol. The main issue I hope they will fix is the mess between the HM entrance arches, momento mori, harbour house, and the old FP kiosk/keel boat area. Thats a guest flow nightmare. Creating more capacity in the hm queue will get rid of all the switchbacks in that area and getting rid of the keel boats will allow a path straight through the area. Just my thoughts as an ops guy.I genuinely think it will have more buffer than that, but we'll see. Both pieces of artwork shared thus far for Piston Peak show the path entrance right next to the Liberty Belle dock, and the original (which is the only one that shows anything farther north) has tree buffer just south of the keelboats, which are themselves arguably out of frame (and likely not there anymore regardless).
THAT I will not misswill they also get rid of the former HM FastPass kiosk at some point?
Or the new indoor queue is where you enter so it’s 90% inside and you’re not needing to escape the immersionI know it's very unlikely due to cost and ambition, but another potential configuration for the HM queue is if they did something more like Monsters Unchained and created more interior (or additional exterior) space after you enter the mansion. The front of the mansion would be simplified as far as how you get inside from the new walkway. The wall would be opened after the elevator leading to a new queue structure/walled garden tucked into the new clearing.
EDIT: Though unlikely, the reason something like this would be appealing is that with the Cars flat ride very close to the Haunted Mansion (which will no doubt have jaunty Cars music), as well as the main Cars ride, that sound-bleed will be hard to mask from an extended outdoor-only queue in that clearing. This approach would solve that.

While we regret the loss of ROA, let's face it, it's removal will allow for an expanded queue with switchbacks, similar to the one at DL. It remains to be seen whether that will occur.Im thinking they will expand the que into some kind of garden/greenhouse perhaps. Anything to get rid of the current terrible imo covered que
The big issue I see with this is the Stretching room bottle neck. I'm not sure how many people each stretching room can cycle, but is it that much higher than the ride capacity that they could build a large queue after it?I know it's very unlikely due to cost and ambition, but another potential configuration for the HM queue is if they did something more like Monsters Unchained and created more interior (or additional exterior) space after you enter the mansion. Why face something that isn’t true? The Rivers of America wasn’t blocking physical access to additional space. The queue issues are also exacerbated by the choice to have Lightning Lane. While we regret the loss of ROA, let's face it, it's removal will allow for an expanded queue with switchbacks, similar to the one at DL. They are going to be playin' in the dirt for quite a while yet. Look at the rendition and you will see a whole lot of tinkering to do with that landscape in order to have the waterfalls and other things. They are going to be needing to bring the rear up so that the background is only the current upper part of the landscaping found on Big Thunder. Plus it is precision earth work. I can't tell from the pictures if they have much of that already done because of the 2 dimensional factor but carving that out from a massive pile of dirt is artistry to create all the levels of that land.Good to see some activity even though it just looks like they are playin’ in the dirt still.![]()

Um, immediately to your south was water. Why face something that isn’t true? The Rivers of America wasn’t blocking physical access to additional space. The queue issues are also exacerbated by the choice to have Lightning Lane.
Huh?That's an odd thing to say. Nearly anything is possible given enough time, money and motivation.
Most people aren’t expecting the queue expansion to occur to the south. And even then, the shoreline could have been adjusted.Um, immediately to your south was water.
The newly cleared area isn't to the south. It's to the west. What was cleared has always been solid land and could have housed an extended queue even without the ongoing construction. The current state obviously facilitates access, but that's about it.Um, immediately to your south was water.
This. You can barely see the thing in you’re in line for.I would love to see them move the outdoor queue to the area of the bad interactive queue and the area they just cleared.....and remove that giant awning thart basically blocks the view of the house ...It would be nice to have a clear view of the Mansion On the Hill without any obstructions in the foreground....
That's interesting and probably a hinderance to this. Thanks. The big issue I see with this is the Stretching room bottle neck. I'm not sure how many people each stretching room can cycle, but is it that much higher than the ride capacity that they could build a large queue after it?
