Absolutely not. ToT is such a fantastic experience as is. They need all of it running as is to handle the capacity number of guests that it demands
Yeah - I wasn’t really asking should they do it from a logistic view - that would be difficult.

More like - i wish there was a tame version cause I’d ride it more. The single drop would be ok even - but some of the sequences get pretty intense.

When I was 12, I was very nervous to ride ToT, and I chickened out during the preshow. (Is it too embarrassing to admit that I began to cry like a baby? Yes. Yes it is. That's why I said with great dignity that I would not be partaking in the experience.)

The problem was not that I was afraid of the heights or the drops. By the time I was 12, I loved rollercoasters and happily rode Rockin' Rollercoaster earlier that day. My fear was elevators.

I was not pleased when I discovered that I had to ride a real elevator down to unload. But I did it with great dignity, and everyone around me believed that they were in the presence of a strong individual with control of their emotions.
Most everyone has some kind of a phobia about something. I was deathly afraid of coasters when I was young. My dad at one point dragged me on one ( front seat as well) and under trial by fire I survived. Now its the first type of attraction I scope out when I am at a park.
Did you eventually get the nerve to do ToT?

Yes. Later that same year, I went to Paramount's Carowinds and got to ride Drop Zone Stunt Tower. I thought that was so much fun and that Tot can't possibly be like an elevator if it makes you feel like that.

The next time I went to Disney MGM Studios, I was 16 and went on the ride despite the fear of elevators. It is one of my favorite rides today.

Meanwhile, I got used to elevators as and eventually got to the point where I am not nervous to ride them. But that fear lasted into my 20s... I lived on the 8th floor of my dorm tower in college and would usually take the stairs. I told myself it was for fitness reasons, but everyone knew better. Today, I don't think twice about riding an elevator.

Delta's lift motor needs to get addressed soon, it's becoming quite loud that you can't really hear the audio well.
