Give the man a break he’s finally retiring this year for the third or fourth or 10th time.
Not so fast. Iger is not retired yet.

First lets see if he actually retires.

Second, lets see if he moves out of his shower equipped office.

Third, lets give it a couple years and see if he again takes back the CEO spot.

As it is, Iger will continue to run the company from behind the curtains for years after he "retires".

Maybe when there is a new administration in the White House, he can get that ambassadorship to his beloved China, then I think he will be really retired from TWDC.

;)

episode 4?
Episode 4 my a... er, butt.

The first film is simply titled Star Wars and had no "episode number" because the idea that Lucas had this grand plan for a bagillion "episodes" is his own retcon nonsense. And, for that matter, it was followed by films that were simply titled The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Even Wikipedia agrees with me that a title like Star Wars Episode VI -- Return of the Jedi is not the real title. And if you can't trust Wikipedia, what can you trust?

Now, get off my lawn.

Episode labeling began just before ESB came out when the original Star Wars was re-released with a crawl update adding the number and new title.

Consider the unscrupulous source...
There could be truth in this. WDW doesn't have the motive to spend the money for the changes for Galaxy's Edge. I've heard and read about lack of crowds for Disneyland's version of Galaxy's Edge and really haven't heard that out of DHS version.

Also WDW has a lot of work being done right now in Magic Kingdom, DHS, and DAK.

Wasn’t it Iger who told Imagineering to focus on the new trilogy because he thought people would show up and wonder where the new characters were? He might’ve wrote about this in his book or something
It is ironic considering he is the person who's responsible for rushing the Sequel trilogy in order to make back money. The fact is the Sequel Trilogy didn't have a cohesive storyline. No one wanted the new characters because J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson was trying to undermine each other and it hurt character development for the Sequel trilogy Characters including Finn.

Disney should be applauded here. The fan enthusiasm for the SWGE product seemed tepid at best, and the future of the franchise is decidedly in the Mandalorian and (hopefully it’s good?) Gosling film. They gave this effort plenty of time to catch on but it doesn’t seem to have worked. They’re leaning into what the fans want. Moving away from LARP in favor of OT Luke is not fan service, but a nice fix to pivot to what the customers seem to want.

I think the mandalorian ends with this cute little flick.

So there’s one movie in development…we hope?

And a lot of unconfirmed “development”?

…someday there will be multiple books written on this brilliant case study

At WDW, since they want to stick with the sequel trilogy timeline, maybe they could still give us Luke, but he sits off in a corner, avoids everyone, and doesn't care at all what happens.

There's like 4 things to do at DHS... It's popular by default.
Tower of terror
Slinky
Toy story mania
Runaway railway
Star tours
RNRC
Indy
frozen
Mermaid
Beauty and the beast
One man’s dream
Villains
Fantasmic
Felt fine to me when we visited :) Was my partners favourite land in Disneyland.
Glad you enjoyed it, to me it feels like it would work better at DCA.
