Epic Universe is the lowest rated theme park in Orlando

Andrew C

You know what's funny?
But its not that "its a half day park" its that guests are choosing to only experiance half the attractions and not spend a full day there.
It is if Disney cannot get enough guests to stay there the entire day. Recall their "nighttime" experiment. Again, I am perfectly fine with the way AK is (well, not necessarily some of the recent changes, but historically at least)...but I recognize what it is and what it isn't.

Anyways, off topic...let's go back to Epic sightlines! :hilarious:

DAK is the best themed park in Orlando…even when they add IP it fits in with the theme….see pandora…. Admittedly I am nervous about the new Zootopia attraction in that regard…. Have not experienced that attraction….but at least you can skip that… and never lose that immersion as the Tree of Life is still as it’s always been

DAK rightfully deserves its great theming reputation in Florida, but I have a bad feeling about that park.

The question there is how much longer will DAK has better theming than Epic Universe considering DAK is already is starting to be past its peak in theming. The fact is Joe Rhode is gone as a Disney Imagineer and Disney upper management is taking advantage of that. Disney's upper Management wants IP in theme parks even if the IP doesn't belong in the Park.

Indiana Jones in DAK from a IP standpoint doesn't make sense. Zootopia as an IP really doesn't fit in Animal Kingdom either depending on who you talk to. You and I know Disney upper Management is capable of shoehorning IPS where they don't belong.

Also it seems like Disney upper management wants DAK to move a different direction than it was under Rhode. An example of this is a rumor of DAK's Petting Zoo closing for a Bluey Experience according website that shall not be named.

Yep to both. Unfortunately, Zootopia is terrible (arguably the worst attraction in Orlando and yes that includes stuff like F&F). Whether or not DAK will remain the best themed and immersive theme park in Orlando depends on how they handle the "Tropical Americas" Dinoland replacement. If it feels like it compliments the Africa and Asia lands and just so happens to have Encanto and Indiana Jones attractions, it will be okay. If it ends up being mostly just an Encanto-land, then nope, DAK joins the rest of the WDW parks with losing its theme and being another IP grab bag.

The thing about a half day park vs. full day park is that its largely dependent on the crowds on that day and one's objectives while visiting.

I have made a full day out of DAK before by doing every attraction, every trail, every show, eating at a table service restaurant, and generally just taking my time and taking in the atmosphere and people watching and taking a lot of photos.

If you only want to hit the main rides, then it'll be a half day park unless it's a particularly busy day.

With the capacity issues Epic has, as well as the fact that it's so many people's first visit and they want to try and do everything, it is typically a full day park. But if all the lines were under 30 minutes, it could also be a half day park.

Is the petting zoo closing? I thought the character meet was going inside the building and its the drawing class that is closing (because Hollywood Studios is re-opening the drawing class).
The Petting zoo could be closing based on what different sites mentioned.

Here is a different website with the info I mention.
