I thought this was supposed to be out this month or next.

In a post from D23 today, they noted the documentary arrives on Disney+ and Disney YouTube in "early 2026".

I looked at the original trailer, and it said coming this winter. I think that's why I assumed Nov-Dec.

Although winter runs from December 21st through March, I also include November.

Is it Disney documentary season?

Man it's crazy how...strange the park looked at opening. Like the Frontierland/Adventureland side looks familiar but the Tomorrowland/Fantasyland bits just look so off and odd. Tomorrowland in particular looks so wide open and with the blacktop almost uncomfortable. Crazy how much the park has developed and changed since then.

It's part of what makes the olden days so interesting to me.

You can look at Magic Kingdom in 1971 and still more or less see the park that exists today.

But early Disneyland was in many ways a freakish creation, a patchwork of inspiration, compromise, and budget realities with very little resemblance to what we know now. Watching them learn and invent the rules of themed design in real time is fascinating.

The fact that Frontierland and Fantasyland weren't connected to each other for almost 25 years isn't talked about enough.

When one considers the state of the opening day attractions (especially in FL and TL) you better understand that Disney got their reputation for “revolutionizing amusement parks” mainly on the backs of Main Street, the Hub entrances, Jungle Cruise, and the Mark Twain.

EDIT: Oh, and Peter Pan’s Flight.
