@Baron Von Capybara - Are you ok over on your island? Weather is pretty bad today! I'm in Cornwall and have had 90 -200 mph wind gusts for the last 4 hours!
Was in Orlando for hurricane Milton and this is much more scary. At least we've not lost power 😳 (yet).
Very windy still. Lots of trees / walls down. Some structural damage around the island. Will know more in the morning.
Stay safe over there.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
How’s your day going? I’ll go first.

Not feeling great, so I wanted an easy supper. I’m making Shake’n Bake pork chops and boxed scalloped potatoes. Two boxes, actually.

Problem is I have one envelope of potato seasoning left, and the second envelope of Shake’n Box seasoning mix is missing.

Solve for x.

I did something today that I haven't done in 20 years. (No, not that) I made a big ole batch of Chicken Rice Soup. 🐓🥣 I couldn't remember the recipe so I just put in stuff based on "feel"and I am happy to say, it came out perfect. I guess you never lose it once you got it. :angelic::happy:

When it comes to the kitchen, I never had it.

I am constitutionally opposed to paying for delivery. (Parking too, unless I have no option. I’ll walk 10 blocks before I’ll pay four bucks. 😂)

In 40 years together, you can count on one hand how many times Mike and I have paid for food delivery.
We can't get delivery here as we're too far into the woods, but when we lived closer to civilization, we used to get pizza twice a month. No extra charge for delivery

I also would rather get in my car and drive to pick up the food than the pay for delivery. I also hate paying shipping fees when buying anything online. I'd rather spend $15 more to get free shipping than pay $7 to ship it.

That's the thing that makes me wonder about Amazon Prime. I don't know the yearly cost to join but it seems like waste of money. So everything gets free delivery and one day delivery. Why, unless it is an oxygen tank there isn't much of anything that one can't wait a couple more days for. I buy a lot of things, at least I think it is a lot and I try to make sure that when I do order something I wait until I have one or more than one thing that will get me to the free delivery thing. I had a couple of things last year that I had to pay $6.00 in shipping charges other than that not paid a nickel for shipping.

I do have a membership with BJ's Warehouse (Costco's younger Brother by one year) but I only do it to buy a few things a year that I use a lot of and it is cheaper plus I save about 40 cents per gallon on gas.

Thankfully no damage for us or family. The block of flats directly across from us was evacuated though.
@Tiggertoo56 hope you and yours are safe and well.

Glad you're OK. We are too - staying in our holiday home (caravan) for a few days and it was a scary night! Wouldn't have come down if the weather warning had been sooner! Quite a bit of damage around the local area (trees, walks and windows - and power outages) so I think we've come away quite lucky.

I'm glad you're both safe but I'm praying for your area
Please remember injuries and worse can happen after the storm can happen by going out before it's really safe
Please take care of yourselves and your families xoxo
