Yeah…I think leaning into “Murica” would have been a smart play this year…if all things are equal

Plus all the perks of staying at a Disney resort are pretty much gone. No Magical Express, no sending purchases to your room, no extended evening hours, extended morning hours are shorter than before, etc etc. This also cuts the legs out from under them for the 4+2 hotel/ticket deal.
There is absolutely no reason now why anyone should pay rack rate just to get 2 free nights.
It’d be great time to give some love to Liberty Square! Bring back the fife and drum band, the Muppets show in the windows, new food offerings, etc. Too bad they killed the view and the riverboat. If they were smart, they'd have a Summer "Festival of America" for the 250th that runs between Flower and Garden and Food and Wine. I'm sure they could come up with some type of creative use for the kiosks to still do international offerings with an American twist. (you know like ketchup and spaghetti at Italy.....kidding....or am I?)
Honestly, too many CM's requiring medical attention due to heat exhaustion is what I've read. Standing for hours in a hot box in Florida in the summer with no AC = bad idea.operational challenges such as no one being there to load the queues for $12 tostadas…perhaps?![]()

…well…when you put it that way…So basically for a family of 4 you’re getting something like a $1000 discount on say a moderate hotel + 6 days in the parks and the trade off is the summer Florida heat / humidity. So my vacation will only cost me 9k instead of 10k? Nah, I’m good. Wake me up when we get one of those UK type of deals. I know we have Disneyland out here but they never throw a bone to us West coasters at all.
I priced a trip for a friend this summer. 2 adults and 2 kids at Riverside for 6 nights at the end of July was about $3,900. No food or flights, but that doesn't seem too bad to me. So $1500 ish for room and $2500ish for tickets?I priced a trip for a friend this summer. 2 adults and 2 kids at Riverside for 6 nights at the end of July was about $3,900. No food or flights, but that doesn't seem too bad to me. I dunno.
Right on. I like May - earlier is better though. It's hot, but not as bad as the full-on summer time. You also get Flower and Garden, which is quite lovely. FQ has fewer rooms so it can be harder to find the deals there. As a stranger on the internet, I recommend Christmas, but it will cost more for sure.I’m in the market for a first time WDW trip. I priced mine for 6 nights in late May (even though I’d probably really need 8) also at Riverside with a preferred room (because I’ve heard about the transpo situation and for some reason FQ isn’t being offered) and it came out to $4700. Of course + food, airfare from LAX etc. I don’t think the discount is worth the trade off of having to go in Summer. If you are going in Summer anyway and the heat / humidity doesn’t bother you (and this wasn’t a first time trip) than this is a no brainer obviously.
Yeah, I can certainly see that. Everyone has different approaches to food and transportation so it's hard to say. The value of the deal is definitely relative to Disney in generalSo $1500 ish for room and $2500ish for tickets?
Real cost would be total of $7000 ish conservatively all in…
People can assign their own meaning of “value”. Who knows how it falls at that price ?
I'll remind everyone if you are either going 6+ base days or 4+ park hopper days... I would look into buying a European ticket...
I have confirmed with them that they are allowed to sell to Americans without any issue...
I don't work for any of them, but always good to get the best deals!
…in the bathroomInteresting. Where can I find this European ticket?

“Where are you fromHaha I can’t say that I do unfortunately.
I've been talking to https://www.attractiontickets.com/. I can't personally vouch for them, but I'm pretty sure others on this forum have used them.Interesting. Where can I find this European ticket?
This is what I was getting at earlier. They should be giving us West Coasters the same type of deals as the Europeans. We’re about the same distance away and it’s nearly the same hassle.
Which site? In the past I bought a 14 day UK ticket deal for a 10 day trip, which was great, but I’m finding the 7 day pass to be very similar cost as 5 day direct through Disney. Is there another place that has better pricing?I'll remind everyone if you are either going 6+ base days or 4+ park hopper days... I would look into buying a European ticket...

There might be others that have the same deal.
