Yeah, it really should have gone behind Germany......There were some in WED in the 1950s who thought it would be.

Well if you were going to put it in an existing pavilion then it should been behind Italy, not Germany. But there was plans for a possible Swiss pavilion. It would have been perfect at the Germany pavilion...and added a mountain to the skyline...and a needed attraction to that corner of World Showcase....
I agree with all of that!Well if you were going to put it in an existing pavilion then it should been behind Italy, not Germany. But there was plans for a possible Swiss pavilion.
Alternatively I think a Mt Fuji version of the Matterhorn in the Japan pavilion would have been great and visually impressive
A WDW bus driver told me December 2026Is this going to be open in 10 weeks?
Looking at it I'd guess this is just a mock up of the size/shape of what is going to be built to help them visualise the final structure. That would make sense, but that structure looks way to sketchy to handle guest traffic for the next couple years, especially though a couple hurricance seasons.
Yeah, no footings and sticks screwed every which way makes me think the intern with the 3D skills is out sick so back to the old mockup methodsLooking at it I'd guess this is just a mock up of the size/shape of what is going to be built to help them visualise the final structure.
I agree with you but we both know todays Disney doesn't give a cr@p.Honestly Big Thunder will really need a little thematic area around it to make it feel relevant especially when Carsland Autoparts mountain National Park is built...Big Thunder will become the odd piece of a Western Frontier that ceases to exist... They should add some additional structures and things around the entrance... Stuff like they did for Grizzly Mountain in HKDL just to give it a sense of place and time... So a gift shop, a F&B location for snacks...a place to sit and wait for others on the ride.... Some shade and that sort of thing... like a small Rainbow Ridge...
Just saw this. Are we about to get more information on this project soon?
Wyatt was part of a segment on GMA this morning - here's video:
The animals, I presume. Goat with 10% more goat? They mention updating animatronics on BTMRR. What and where would these be exactly? I know there is some dude in a bathtub and a character bailing water out of one of the buildings. Are there other things that should be animated?
Maybe the animals will have more movement, though idk how visible on the ride they are. I didn’t even know Cumulus Isobar existed until last month, I’ve never noticed him. I thought the only human was the old guy in the bathtub lolThey mention updating animatronics on BTMRR. What and where would these be exactly? Yeah. Doesn’t sound like we are getting dynamite, certainly. Too scary?I still think it’s weird there has been no mention of the former scene with the cave in. I bet you that’s where we are going to see the new “gold” section.
Which is interesting because they have added bats. I guess we will see how they tell the story but it really needs that punch.Yeah. Doesn’t sound like we are getting dynamite, certainly. Too scary?
Even better - 12% more goat than EVER before! The animals, I presume. Goat with 10% more goat?
