Has anyone else seen the stranger things finale?
I did and found it a little disappointing for 2 reasons. 1. I’m sorry but Jane has been through too many horrible things to die or not get to see her friends and family ever again. 2. The reveal of the mind flayer being the big bad after all and corrupting Henry while expected felt way too underdeveloped and the final battle was too short. It must be really confusing if you haven’t seen or heard of the play.

I thought I was going to be caught up yesterday but one of the boys dumped a load and a half of laundry just when what I thought was the last load went into the washer:banghead:

Ah, here’s the difference: I only do my own laundry; I stopped doing my daughter’s laundry when she turned 18. The flip side of that is often she’s using the machine when I planned on doing my laundry so I have to wait.

I like having my washer in working order
Freehold Raceway Mall is where I am posting from. My wife is in a store and I am seated in the common areas. It is so crowded here! I am amazed. Many malls across America are dying due to online shopping but today I had to park really far away in a very full parking lot. What is your nearest mall @Figgy1 ?20260103_160211.jpg

We're not mall people. Way too much traffic, prefer small local shops, even if they're not local to us. Mall wise Freehold isn't bad, easy enough to usually avoid traffic. We usually get there coming up from SW of Jackson, have a bestie who lives near the joint base. We avoid Rockaway like the plague due to traffic and the Disney store closed years ago, getting to the Galleria isn't bad on weekdays, sometimes we go out near Viewmont Mall, that area is like a smaller version of Paramus, lots of stores in the immediate area and downtown has a bunch of small local stores but only the 1 mall left
PS it's exchange and use gift card season;);) another reason I'm avoiding shopping areas on the weekends

I like to walk. As you know from April thru October my wife and I go to County and State parks. Unfortunately in January since I don't enjoy 31F weather our option for walking is various malls.

If you're interested in NY, @SteveBrickNJ there are two malls close to me, The Galleria in White Plains (which has fallen on hard times) and The Westchester Mall, it's ritzy cousin, which is also not what it used to be. Also nearby, and perhaps closer as the crow flies, but across the Tappan Zee Bridge (and therefore a toll) is the Palisades Mall, which is trying to make a comeback as a multi-use center after losing most of its shops.
