DHS Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular Boulder Incident

WondersOfLife

What is if were a great attraction replacing it...something tied into the location of Hollywood Boulevard.... I would gladly trade in Indiana Jones Stunt Show for a completely revitalized central corrider to the park with new and refreshed attractions that thematically fit "The Hollywood that never was...and will always be". The stunt show always felt like an early filler for a new theme [park that was woefully underbuilt from the start.....
Yeah you wont be getting that. That whole section would end up being rethemed to another movie/franchise up to star tours.

Exactly. Accidents happen sadly especially when something happens non stop for decades…. Now this is a perfect “excuse” for Bob to cut some more costs
Yep. Perfect excuse indeed. Do you see how many performers, cast members, equipment, pyro, techies, ect. it takes to run this show? Super insane amount of man power by todays theme park standards.

If it were to close, my money is on an empty theater and/or unused plot of land for a decade or more.
I dont think so. Thats more of a Universal thing to do... or specifically, an epcot thing to do.

Hollywood Studios tends to use all of its space and resources these days it seems... to the point of revamping mermaid, animation, and using sounds dangerous for mickey shorts.

Is that ball confirmed to be 400 pounds?

Needs some weight to not bounce but 400 seems excessive. I’d think 1/4 of that would keep it planted without being a risk to the workers/crowd.

The ball has come off the track several times in it's 36 year history, just seemingly no one has walked in to its path before.

They are now running the show without the ball, making for a very awkward and underwhelming scene. It'll be back I'm sure but now might just be the time to put this show out of it's long stagnating misery.
For a while they changed the scene where the large guard is "eviscerated" by the air blade. Indy just knocks him unconscious on the mat. Then they brought the original scene back.

It is legitimately surprising Indy is still going since it is literally the only aspect of the original "How movies are made" concept left from the MGM days now that GMR is gone and the rest of the park is just random IP dumping ground with facsimile of old Hollywood in the front.

The 400 pounds line is said as it’s easily rolled back up the hill. The guy seemed to know it wasn’t that heavy which is probably why he didn’t brace himself more and the second guy easily pushes it away to get to the first.
