That's a shame. They had some really good flavors. I can't eat there anymore due to a food allergy (Erin McKenna for me now), but i enjoyed the ones I had in the past and my family still likes to stop there from time to time when we're down there.

we’ve walked by it numerous times during our trips there but can’t recall it being busy. never stopped there ourselves. i’m not surprised by the news if true.

A bit surprising, since there aren't many sweet treat locations like this in the Springs. My wife has always had to wait in line when visiting. Even the few times I've been there we had to wait.

I shudder to think of what niche/current fad QSR could go there...

as long as it is not Tacos, Ramen, Donuts, or hot chicken....THose all feel like things we are saturated with...
What else is there? Portillos hot dogs? Meat pies? A real deal sit-down, turn-of-the-century steam punk styled ice cream parlor and chocolaterie?...
with the current track record it will be Forever 21 or any number of stores featured in every mall USA...

How about a QS Cuban restaurant? Would love a good Cuban Sandwich and some sweet plantains.

I can appreciate missing something you liked. By my count - there are perhaps 15 places in the Springs with sweet treats. I think it was a fad that played out. Looks like Gideon’s has sucked the life out of other sweets a little. That two shall pass eventually, although I think the donut trend dies first.

Relative to current fad QSR - I agree that Disney has had its problems.hope for the best - Otis great deck for something.

Very sad news. I loved Sprinkles. That I’m aware of there is no other bakery in the area that sells cupcakes similar to Sprinkles? The only other one I knew was Sweets by Holly in Waterford Lakes who also unfortunately closed down awhile ago.

The cupcake ATM is a fun novelty, once. I went there specifically for it the first time.

A lot of times I would find myself roaming Springs wanting a baked good and Sprinkles was never a destination I ended up going to (half the time I just left). I didn't hate them when I tried them or anything, they just aren't something I actively hope for and the price was too high to settle for them.

I associate them with being kind of dry or maybe stiff would be the better word. It doesn't make a lot of sense to say, but I never figured they would satisfy my cupcake craving. I want nice, soft cake.

A quick-service taco place actually sounds like a really good idea. I don’t think Disney Springs has anything like that.
