All signs point to that being the case. However, not all may be revealed and not all changes have been changed.I was under the impression that Villain's Land isn't going to expand beyond the train tracks, and as far as I know Disney isn't re-routing the train track, so Villain's Land will stay within the existing boundary of the park, unfortunately
Seems a waste to tear out so much, when there so much land available in their 43+ square miles at Disney World.
Not saying it's not true...just very short sighted. More hq offerings=more wanting to go and more willing to pay. Walt had to make that point with accounting when he wanted his first Christmas parade in 1955. Exceed expectations =more wanting to reurnAdding on without replacing increases operting costs and thus reduces profits.

Based on so many on site reports, disney seems to be relying upon an ever decreasing demographic....They increase prices every year and it doesn't seem to be detering people from coming. There is already more to do at WDW then anyone can do in a single trip so adding more things is likely a case of dimishing returns. Add new things does drive attendance but you can get that by replacing instead of expanding.
There always is a lot of wonder about the additional land available to be used. My thought is that it might be available but only if they add a new park. There is a realistic maximum that they can successfully expand the footprint before it becomes to much for guests to handle. Epcot is bigger but laid out differently, as is DAK but with Safari taking up a huge chunk of it, however, with the current layout at MK you might have reached the outward limit that a human can walk or just lose interest and go home. Since they aren't physically adding to the footprint and are filling it with a couple of big time draws for motivation it is more likely to help spread out the crowd toward the back of the park. Remember that that part of the park is possibly the furthest point from the Entrance/Exit and even further from the transportation to the bus stops, monorails and ferries. My feet hurt just thinking about it.They increase prices every year and it doesn't seem to be detering people from coming. If anyone is wondering what this clearance could look like, here's my earlier prediction.
I cant quite work out if the plan is to set all infrastructure for future expansion of villains (or different IP) now and be able to come back to it Universal-style quite quickly. or if the villains is far bigger than predictions, although i haven't heard anything beyond two attractions
His suggestion is merely that there will still be a water feature encircling Big Thunder to some extent, not that it will literally connect to the canal. The decorative streams in the park can still pretty much go anywhere even though they're not part of the water management infrastructure anymore. As I look at the photo in the tweet where he adds in the drawings, does he purpose that they will add back a section, or create, a river to connect with the canal? Or am I just reading his drawing wrong?

My bet is hotel/DVCWhat are the percentage chances that the 11.5acres beyond the railway will be hotel? Or more villains land? or another I.P altogether?
Meh I disagree. If wilderness lodge can exist so close without the monorail I think this hotel can do, esp given its in the parkThat hotel location is a problem, it’s isolated from the 7SL and monorail. Having a deluxe hotel there instantly makes it inferior to the other monorail resorts without some sort of expedited transport to other amenities.
WL is priced cheaper, and is connected to the monorail via a boat system. I imagine Disney would want this priced higher then the Grand.Meh I disagree. If wilderness lodge can exist so close without the monorail I think this hotel can do, esp given its in the park
