I find it arrogant and stupid that they didn’t just agree.

As an elder Millennial (Xennial) there was 0 doubt that a well-realized HP environment would basically print money.
If the film rights had been included, Disney would have been significantly more interested, but having to play with Warner (and be required by contract to listen to JKR's final word on everything), didn't help matters much. Nobody on Disney's end thought it'd be this popular for this long either!

There is a universe where JKR shops film and theme park rights at the same time, maybe post CoS or PoA, and we see Disney go for the whole package. This was not it.

Honest question - Have you physically been inside EU?
Yes. I have. I've been twice.

I like a lot of Epic as I have said numerous times. But the ending to Curse of the Werewolf is ridiculous and an absolute eye sore and the fact that Wing Gliders has you see straight backstage at near ground level is also incredibly short sighted.

It's a good park with a lot of problems. Even the biggest Epic defenders will concede that. I was merely picking on its shortcomings as many others do on the other side here?

Criticism is fine. Nothing is perfect. Blowing if off completely in spite of critical reception is just nonsensical. Not to mention it misses the point of the post completely.
Would like to point out that I have literally talked about the parts of EU that I've liked multiple times on here and the parts I dislike? Also I feel like critically Epic has not been the best received anyway but it doesn't really matter anyway as I make my own opinions and don't just listen to what critics who don't spend a true day in the parks think anyway.

Honestly, I'm glad Disney stood on their business here. Giving someone who doesn't know anything about theme parks complete control all for a series that is still fizzling out AND had movies and a story that was still not finished yet was a HUGEEEEEEEE risk. It ended up paying off Universal but given where Universal was at the time of this happening, I'm glad they got it to give Disney some more competition. We could've easily stagnated a lot if Universal still couldn't get their bearings :/

There was one highly anticipated book left in the series. It wasn’t that incomplete and nowhere near to even starting to fizzle out.

But I’m sure Jay Rasulo was really concerned about lack of theme park experience…

The other big idea that came with the franchise mandate was that theme parks were not a core business and should not remain part as part of The Walt Disney Company. The original Harry Potter deal includes clauses about changes in control of the parks, not to mention being a new deal with another studio. There’s a bit of incompatibility there.

The movies are what Universal was really focusing on and to stick the ending to a franchise is essential. That was the gamble.

He is just coming across as the typical Disney Adult where WDW=good and Uni=bad. And there are many out there like this that Disney lives off...

No nuance...
I would never call myself a "Disney Adult" as my personality and opinions are not based on a specific hobby of mine and certainly not a billion dollar corporation. I like Disney theming, I talk about how I do like Universal when they do things right and I don't like Disney doing bad stuff but I have to actually find it bad first.

And we should be thankful that Disney's not beholden to that.

Universal's done well with the property to be sure, but as time goes on, they're going to get more and more hamstrung by this. I would say the early signs of it happening are already visible at Epic Universe and the shoehorned integration of Fantastic Beasts iconography.

Beyond her just being a miserable gargoyle of a person, she is slowly becoming a George Lucas in the sense that she keeps tinkering with her own lore and story in ways that are not complimentary to the existing work.

It was Universal that wanted to do Paris. Warner Bros insisted on the ride featuring Harry Potter.

This is absolutely insane and not at all close to reality. "Spirit Halloween mannequins" and it's in reference to some of the best audio animatronics ever built. Please.
I said mannequins, not animatronics. Spirit Halloween is 100% how I would describe the look of this.

The actual animatronics are very well made and have great ROM from what I've seen.

Wait, this thread is about Bluey?

Here is a list of the closest Bluey and Bingo have gotten to interacting with actual animals:

- dreamt of being a fruit bat once
- found a dead bird and cried
- avoided a large bird on the beach
- dropped Chinese food on the ground and had crows try to eat it
- Bingo had to evade a magpie once
- Bluey's friend's dad once drove through a field of kangaroos. She wasn't there.

Just in case anyone hasn't watched it and thinks it's Australian Go Diego Go or something.
