Trip Report 12 Days of Christmas!

Lords will be a leaping and maids will be milking. Well, perhaps not. But we are heading to Disney for 12 days!

When? Tomorrow! (Dec 17th)

Where? The original plan was 10 days at Boardwalk Villas. We have a 1 br villa with a Boardwalk view. We added 2 additional days to the front end of the trip at Wilderness Lodge so we now have 12 days total!

Who? In a shocking turn of events, C (my wife) has managed to stay healthy amd we have no kittens or pregnant momma cats to care for, so finally we will be taking a trip together!

We will also be joined by Baileys family! Bailey is the black Labrador service K9 I trained and have had 2 trips at WDW with.

Baileys family will be down for 8 days with us. They arrive a few days after us. It will be a party of 7 total with their children included.

But wait, theres more...Akira (one of our Malinios) will be with us as well.

That's 7 humans and 2 pups!

We've already got several dining reservations planned and a few Holliday festivities that ill share later.

Im off to a short day at work and ill update later. Get your pipers piping and your Geese a-laying!

Friday ctd...

We had a reservation for Storybook Dining at Artist Point

The kids were a bit shy with the characters at first

Food was ok

Dessert had the kids a bit curious lol

Snow White got them out of their shell

Grumpy was very playful

More Dessert curiosity. The look on her face , hahaha

The Evil Queen was absolutely hilarious and played the part well. The kids mentioned they liked dogs, the Queen replied, "good you can take care of Snow White"

Overall the experience was good but the food was mediocre for the price and service was a bit hectic. The kids had a great time tho.

Friday ctd...

As we headed out of the restaurant, two ladies stopped and asked if they could give the kids a present. It seemed odd at first but they explained they were just passing along the Christmas spirit amd handing out Disney gifts to kids.

They gave the kids a Mickey Plush and an Elsa doll. They told us they run a charity as well. They were very sweet and the kids loved the gifts.

We got some lobby pics by the tree before heading out.

We all headed back to our rooms and called it a night.

It was definitely the most interesting ride.We've experienced that living with the land

I thought perhaps it could damage the ride if the sneaker got caught in some mechanism, or maybe they would see it floating.And shut the ride down.And we'd be in trouble

Both of our brands were absolutely racing with different thoughts of what could happen lol

I would have panicked!!! Glad it all worked out in the end and now you will have quite the story to tell for the rest of your lives! We did indeed panick but I think the shock of seeing the shoe float away kept our attention on that instead absolutely loosing it lol. And agreed about Artist Point. Ill take the original but I can see the appeal to kids and family.

Saturday

It was a HS day! We rope dropped Slinky Dog Dash and then over to TSMM. Justin amd I rode in the same car as he was determined to best me since our last duel in March earlier this year when we rode.

I warned him that ive ridden way more than him and he has a long way to go but nonetheless, he pursued in his quest....and ultimately failed

We rounded out Toy Story Land with Swirling Saucers. I stayed on the sidelines to get pics

Since we had completed Toy Story land it was on to Star Wars next!

Their daughter got chosen as the spy on Star Tours! I was happy for her amd jealous. Ive been riding for 87 years and never get to be the spy and she got it on her first ride!!

We hit Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance after. We were having such a good time i didnt even get pics.

The kids were on cloud 9 as we had already been on 6 attractions in such a short period. Its been awhile since we have visited with children and its fun to see them get excited at a high ride count.

Baseline Taphouse was opening so we took a quick break for the adults.

We discovered the Indiana Jones MERCHANDISE ( @Tuvalu ) while browsing through the shops

It was only fitting to show the kids the rope you can pull rigjt outside the Indiana Jones stunt show.

They were completely enchanted with this lol. We must have stayed there for 5 minutes as they kept cycling through all the things you can hear.

Saturday ctd...

We rounded out tje afternoon with a few more attractions (Runaway Railway, RnR and another ride on Star Tours)

We headed back to our resorts for some rest. It was a jam packed morning/afternoon and we had a great time.

Saturday ctd...

After our mid day break we had a shift in plans and fate would once again have us heading back to Wilderness Lodge! This had us at Wilderness Lodge every day of the trip so far. Baileys family was staying at the Campgrounds so it wasnt far for them.

We met at Geyser Point for dinner, again for C and I lol. We decided it would be an easy place to meet and the food is always good.

We started with the flatbread amd then a turkey sandwhich. We ordered some appetizers to snack on and a few rounds of drinks as we were watching college football as well.

It was getting a bit chilly out so I decided to run to the gift shop and look for a jacket or hoodie. I brought this Lil nugget along with me to shop and we stopped to get some pictures at the Christmas tree since there was a Disney photopass photographer there.

I didnt find a hoodie or jacket but did wind up buying her some mickey ears. And have i been buying her ANYTHING she asks for? Yes! Are her parents happy about that? Dont know dont care hahaha! And the nest part of my plan, ...is no one can stop me!!!

After the game was over we relaxed in the lobby and soaked in the Chrismtas vibes

Bailey was enjoying himself as well

We headed back to our room and did a quick check on some Christmas lights i had hung on our patio

It was bed time after this.

Sunday...

Bailey and the guys from his family were rope dropping Epcot and the girls went to MK for Cinderellas Royal Table for breakfast and Bibiddy Bobbidy Boutique

The guys were rope dropping Cosmic Rewind and even tho I got there for early entry, the line e was already nearly back to TT. I opted for a different rope drop strategy while they rode Cosmic Rewind

Where oh where would I go??

If yiu guessed Frozen, then you know me well!

Ive noticed the last few trips that black grip tape on the seats is coming loose and its difficult to see and you can get stains all on your clothes from it. Luckily I noticed amd sat away from it. I joked with the lady next to me that I wasnt trying to make a move, just avoiding the black good. She understood and we had a good ride.

When I exited, the fellas were waiting and we met up. Baileys dad and son had LL for Cosimc Rewind to ride again so their grandpa and I took Bailey took grab a drink! He had never tried La Cava so we got margaritas which I apparently didnt get a Pic of smh


We did take Bailey for a spin on Grand Fiesta Tour

He loves the boat rides!

We stopped for Chrismtas tree pics as well

I told the photographers (there were 2 pf them) Bailey's name so she could get him to look at the camera but they got ridiculously overexcited, calling his name making loud noises which made him get very excited and you can see in the second picture as I tell her to calm it down. It was hilarious! I wasn't upset with them in any way.They really put a lot of effort in which made him get a little overstimulated, which made for some funny pictures

He settled down and we got a some solo pics

So sweet of you to treat the adorable little girl to Minnie Ears at the WL gift shop! She'll always remember those times as she gets older! Bailey is such a beautiful, sweet dog! Loving how much you're enjoying all this time at WL.

Sunday ctd...

We finally met back up with the other fellas and stopped for a hot chocolate break

Then it was off to Baileys favorite ride!

If you dont know by this picture, ill give you a hint. We sent C a pic that everyone was able to keep their shoes safely on the boat!

Next we rode Nemo then over to SSE. Bailey isnt the biggest fan of being crammed into the ride vehicle

I parted ways with the group as they were going to ride TT but I had a mission to pick up a Christmas gift but not for C. It was for Baileys mom. Justin asked if I could store it in our room until Christmas so she wouldnt see it.

First, I acquired a beer to fuel me. A La Fin de Monde from Canada!

Shortly after, I located the present

The Dooney amd Burke backpack. She had seen it at another shop amd loved it so Justin figured he would get it for her.

I heased back to the room with one additional passenger, extra leather. I showered up and headed out to meet everyone at MK. When I arrived at the bus stop it was madness.

I quickly chirped a Lyft. Since Lyft cannot drop off at MK I figured there was a good location to transfer. The TTC perhaps? Uh....nope!

Fate had other plans in mind....

Ahhh, yes. Back to Wilderness Lodge, again!

A very short wait for the boat to arrive. This was a far less stressful way to get to MK than the crowded bus at BW.

It was utter insanity at the front of the park. But luckily there was one turnstyle open for non party visitors and I walked right in.

Everybody was writing tron, so I had a moment for a quick snack

Met everybody at people mover, and we got to ride with the kids

They loved it!

C was sporting one of her Disney bags
