MK Cinderella Castle Set to Return to Classic Color Scheme

They were removed after 2019, don't draw additional headcount to the parks (MVMCP always sells out), interferes with guest crowd flow before and after installation , and interfere with the digital image mapping for the night time shows.

From what I heard from multiple people recently at MK at night, the Dreamlights would help the nighttime vibe. Unless it’s a party night, it seems as if MK’s nighttime decorations are underwhelming, at best.

The current projection decor is pretty, sure. It's instagramable. The dreamlights felt elegant and magical

They were removed bc the light strands themselves would not blend with the new color scheme of the castle and they didn’t want to spend the money to build new ones - especially for a paint project that had a lot of uncertainty around longevity once the finished product wasn’t well received. Also with the knowledge they’d be skipped due to the 50th overlay as well anyway.

They were not removed bc it was an operational issue - the pros vastly outweigh the cons of the brief installation period.

Maybe I'm jaded as there are many well produced Christmas light shows within a few hours. Literally mile upon mile of Christmas displays and lights so just one building with a net of lights isnt that special to me.

It has an instant wow factor the first few times you see them like so many theme park attractions designed for Bob from Colorado on the first family visit but fades to background ambience with repeated visits. Having the crane parked there for months is a poor trade IMO.

The fabled integrated lighting into the wall blocks would be amazing and not detract from the daytime views but being nothing but a pipe dream the dreamlights are too much netting.

I never considered parking a huge mobile crane in the guest flow "minimal effect on the park". If they pulled it out every morning and put it back every evening I'd be OK with it but if I were the crane operator (previous life) I'd never agree to that much extra work and rigging.

That pathway is so rarely used. I almost never use it.

I wish they could put back the rivers of America as easily as repainting the castle.

We’ve never been the type to delay a trip for a new ride or show opening but we talked about delaying our next trip until the castle repainting is done. I can’t wait for this to return to its “proper” colors.

I for one welcome the demise of the Barbie palette. I hope that it also ensures the so called "dreamlight" mesh installation never returns even if it means the elimination of the annual Festival of the Crane and courtyard construction wall.

"Festival Of The Crane" It seems like there were cranes at MK almost every time I've been to WDW-I was surprised it wasn't an attraction. There were always two inevitabilities when I visited MK-cranes at the castle, and Splash Mountain being down for refurb.

Well it is a designated bird sanctuary so no surprise the cranes gather there

There are a lot of mistakes made in WDW history that I wish it was this easy to fix.
