Thanks for the nomination!! I’m actually hoping to revisit my castle park project and revamp it to be a modernization of the castle park formula, where each land is a lived-in world- Adventureland becomes the Mysterious Isle, Fantasyland becomes Storybook Kingdom, Tomorrowland becomes Progress City, etc etc. The main focal point of the revamp is having a huge central hub that allows every land to have their own bridge entrance with a weenie, with a new version of Fantasmic that has fireworks and effects for each of the lands, acting as a “finale” to your day at the park. Hopefully I can get a rough sketch done sometime soon!

I was intrigued so I checked it out… it’s just generative AI. Am I missing sarcasm or are we pretending AI is real art now?
Wait, WHAT?! Red used to actually do amazing-looking stuff with photo layering and filters! You would’ve thought they painted it or something at first glance! Now they’re using AI. If this is true, then, respectfully, they’ve really fallen off.

“If it’s true” friend they just posted a few minutes ago in a thread that says it uses AI in the actual thread title

I believe he [Fozz] is mainly referring to Red’s art submissions from previous competitions. Red has always been a respected artist of our community and made gorgeous pieces of concept art long before AI was even a thing. While I don’t support the recent increase of generative AI used as reference recently, you can’t deny that Red isn’t an amazing artist as seen in the Tree of Tempo above.

Well… it’s not art 🤣 And I’ll never market it that way.

I’m working on creating a ride-through style tour of previous WDI concepts. I'm starting with Thunder Mesa and the Western River Expedition. It’s really more of a historical documentation hobby than traditional art work I usually do. Right now I’m using Photoshop and AI back and forth to establish visuals and camera paths, with more manual layering and video work coming later once I get what I’m looking for.

By the time it’s finished, the goal is something closer History Channel documentary like a "Lost Worlds" episode— richer visuals paired with summaries of extinct or unrealized attractions.

Totally fine to have opinions on AI — it’s a easy to use complicated tool with real concerns for artists — but I’m just exploring a new creative lane after hitting a lot of personal art milestones and seeing where it goes. 🤷‍♀️

They’re probably referring to my usual work anyway, so here are a few examples from 2024:

That is correct. Her early artwork was absolutely spectacular.
