I suspect at least some of the waterfront will be for hotels and maybe a marina style shopping and dining area.

I think it will be really interesting to see how they integrate the indoor spaces - will they take a pirates approach and have false skies in a black box or will we get skylights like World Bazaar in Tokyo? We could even something like Thunder Mesa or discovery mountain with several attractions inside

Mermaid Lagoon, the Mexico Pavillon and the Animation building lobby at DCA must be on one of their mood boards

I think the most interesting part of the resort will be the greater use of indoor spaces, not something Disney have really done before.

It could really open up some interesting designs- you could do really interesting things like lands based on the game grid from Tron or Wonderland or maybe a cave of wonders or Corusant which would be much harder to do outside.

Will the resort ultimately contain just one park?
Plan is for one park for now, however there is room for at least two parks. similar to how Shanghai and HK. question is if and how its developed. I will say though given the amount of theme parks already in this area for the last ten years it will likely support a second park. however that's ultimately up for disney to make. my personal theory is I could see disney make a second park here and at Shanghai with similar theming, kinda like how Eisner wanted to make multiple Hollywood studios like parks back in the 90s

Maybe they'll add some sort of "minor park" like a waterpark, if they aren't intending to build a second "major park."

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi isn't that close to the site.

And indoor stuff would be more reasonable to copy for WDW given the Florida weather (unlike more outdoor stuff appropriate for southern California). So maybe it might mean some things able to be ported to WDW in the future at an affordable price.

personal guess is that they will have two major parks down the road. as disney will have competitors in the region. I also think imo the park itself will be outside but each land will be inside. with exception of the park entrance and the castle
