Our Tokyo Disney Adventure - November 25-28

November 27, 2025 - DisneySea - Day Two

So going into this day, we had to discuss strategy. Do we rope drop Journey again, seeing as it’s such an incredible experience? Do we go for Toy Story, Soaring, or Tower? Or do we trek to Fantasy Springs with everyone else, and try to knock out Rapunzel and Tinkerbelle, the two rides we did not do yesterday back there?

Now remember, we already bought two DPA’s yesterday, 2,000 yen for Frozen, 1,500 yen for Tower of Terror. This adds up fast, and was basically about $30 CAD for each of us.

I already knew I didn’t want to pay more money for more rides (haha, I lied to myself), but especially not for Rapunzel, and not for rides we’ve ridden in other parks (my exception was Tower as it was very different).

My husband determined we should do Fantasy Springs, and knock out those two rides, so our plan was set.

We checked out from MiraCosta on the TV in our room, as we would be transferring to Toy Story Hotel for our last 2 nights. We also seamlessly setup luggage transfer on the tv, and were able to leave our bags in the room upon our departure.

We rocked up to early entry a few minutes later than the day before, but with it just being MiraCosta guests, it really wasn’t bad. 8:15 and we are in again.

Today we took things a bit slower, with no rush to book DPA’s. We got in, snagged a 40th pass for something (don’t remember), tried the show lottery (lost again), and as we left the tunnel and got view of the volcano, stopped to take a photo with the always perfect Daisy.

After our celebrity encounter, we made the journey (and it truly is) to Fantasy Springs. I had no clue what to expect, given Fantasy Springs Hotel guests would already be back there, but we walked as fast we could (with everyone else from MiraCosta).

We took that photo with Daisy at 8:18, and I took these empty photos outside the entrance to Springs at 8:28 am:

We went straight to Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival and hopped in line, which didn’t seem too bad yet, not spilling out of the queue, by any means, and the ride was not cycling guests when we got in line. I have photos of us crossing the canal and heading down to the loading gates around 8:43 am, so they opened the ride early, which was a bonus compared to yesterday. We were on the ride by 8:48!

This is the strategy folks! The line for this thing is insane, and it’s by no means worth it to spend money on (imo) unless you absolutely must. Everyone is going for Frozen. Spend the money to DPA frozen, and rope drop Rapunzel, if you have early entry that is.

By the time we got off the ride, regular guests were in the area, and extended queues were starting, but we cut across and headed right for Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies, in line by 8:57 am, off the ride around 9:05.

So like that, we knocked out two rides in Fantasy Springs, before park open. At this point we thought maybe we could hit up Peter Pan again. But the line was extending way past the entrance and towards the entry into the land entirely, so we hopped out of Springs and made our way through more adventures in the park.

I don’t know when I convinced my husband, but we did opt into buying a DPA to ride Journey again, as it was just so incredible. Man I love that ride.

We rode Sinbad two more times todays, got on Peter Pan again, had a wonderful afternoon cocktail at Teddy Roosevelt Lounge, and generally just had a calm relaxing day, soaking in the park, going on a ride here and there if waits were agreeable, not feeling too fussed about it all. We even left the park after our cocktail to go check in to Toy Story, as we were allowed to use the Fantasy Springs Hotel entrance and exit as Toy Story guests, and ended up having dinner out of the convenience store at the hotel before going back into the park for the evening.

Here is what we accomplished today:

  • Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival
  • Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies
  • Raging spirits
  • Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage
  • Scuttle’s Scooters
  • Flounder’s Flying Fish Coaster
  • The Magic Lamp Theater
  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
  • Journey to the Center of the Earth
  • Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage
  • Peter Pan’s Neverland Adventure

Killer pics! You’re the one to the left, right?

Glad to hear you had a great time.

This is probably controversial and ... I'm giving more than 3 haha.

1) Journey
2) Sinbad
3) 20,000 Leagues
4) Peter Pan (new version)
5) Frozen
6) Beauty and the Beast
7) Winnie the Pooh

I think?

Wow Sinbad huh? Because you spoke so highly of 20k leagues I would have guessed Journey, 20k and Batb or Pan. Otherwise I would have guessed Journey, Pan and Beast

I freaking LOVED Sinbad, give me a long form, detailed, full of AA's boat dark ride anyday.

On paper that sounds great. Granted, I haven't experienced it, but the ride through video didn't do it for me. I think part of the disconnect for me is for me is having original cartoony looking human characters makes it feel like more like a knock off Disney ride or one of those Efteling rides.

See I loved the art direction of it, felt almost puppet theatre like. But the scenes are just so huge, and especially with the crowds, you can just like look back behind everyone and find two characters having a gossip session, or these two over here doing something. It's just full of life.

I dunno, I love those simple old school feeling rides.

So how'd you like Pan? More or less excited for Avengers?

Pan is super fun, I mean it's a screen ride like Transformers or Spider-Man in Florida, but the sets are integrated nicely, and screens immersive and great quality. I appreciated that the ride was super long (or felt long). I personally would like to see more practical effects for sure, but if Avengers is stepping off from this, with hopefully some AA's and more physical effects, we should be in for a treat.

But it will be compared to Spider-Man heavily for sure.

Despite all the newer additions to the resort, Journey is still number one in my heart. There’s just something about it that’s truly awe-inspiring and magical for me. I don’t have 20,000 Leagues quite as high as you do, but I agree it’s very underrated by many fans.

I know, and maybe it isn't that high... but as I got to at least ride it more than once (due to how crazy this park is), it's fresh in mind, and I really did love it. Charming, old school, nostalgic Disney ride.

I would also have 20,000 Leagues and Sinbad as my favorites for TDS, and 20,000 Leagues in my top 3 for the resort

(can't comment on BatB or Fantasy Springs, neither were open on my last visit)
