Missed opportunity? Why Disney hasn’t rethemed Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster to Taylor Swift

Awful?? That show was great!
I realize I am in the minority on this one, at least here on the forums (it didn't really make it one season).

I don't want to ever think of muppets going to the bathroom, copulating with either each other or with humans, etc. etc. Sorry/not sorry. Idc how prudish this seems to make me.

Maybe they’ve learned celebrities may have scandals in their closets, or make new ones. Muppets don’t.
Spousal abuse is a thing.

I can’t help but think the Muppets was a bad idea. I assume they only chose the Muppets because they were afraid of the backlash they were going to receive when they announced that Muppet Vision was going to be closed. I just don’t think the Muppets; specifically Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, are going to work, at least not in this ride system.

So why not Taylor Swift instead? I’ve been a Disney World fan long enough to remember there were rumors about replacing Aerosmith with Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers. But Taylor Swift makes the most sense.

This is coming from a huge Muppets fan and someone who is lukewarm on Taylor Swift and by no means a Swiftie. I just think adding Taylor Swift would make more park fans happy.

Disney if you want to make parks fans happy again after closing Muppet Vision. Make that Movie Ride with the Muppets that was canceled back in MGM days.

A. The Muppets are timeless.

B. Taylor Swift is marching towards either irrelevancy or mental illness.

That’s because there are millions of men who can’t square away that Travis Kelsey is literally living their ultimate teenage fantasy. Super Bowl winning star NFL player who (is about to) retire and marry a billionaire pop star.

Likewise there is a much smaller subset of women who are similarly upset that a women can become a billionaire pop star and then marry a Super Bowl winning NFL player.

And to top it all off, it’s apparent the two are actually, truely, in love with each other based on their incredible dorky public displays and interviews on the subject.

Envy is a sin people, and it never looks good on anyone.

Signed a non Chiefs fan, non Swiftie who can only really recognize one TS song (Shake it off.)

(in 1986 Anniversary Special Kermit insisted to Piggy the 1984 wedding was not real).

nb: one of my favorite Muppet Show episodes was when they almost DID marry (1977-78 season if I'm not mistaken), but at the very last moment...Lew Zealand (unintentionally) saved Kermit's A**

NB: it was the debut of Lew Zealand

I always thought they eventually married and officially became Mr. and Mrs. Frog Pig.

This revelation also dampens my feelings over Muppet Christmas Carol, one of my favorite versions of that beloved tale.
It's kinda a shock realizing the young Muppets who played the Cratchit children (including Tiny Tim), are all formed out of wedlock... in a film surrounding a Christian holiday... with a deep message on family values.

No offense, but this was such a surprise to learn, I had to ask the Google to confirm what you were telling me.

Sure enough... 🙁

I need to go lay down for awhile and absorb all this.

2025 is a dark Christmas indeed.
none taken :)

....as your Google AI search showed....many do still consider 1984 canon and staunchly insist they are married.

The bigger point is that the Muppets are so beloved and famous that many (like me) debate various aspects of their personal lives such that we forget they're fictional 🏆

Am I a man or am I a muppet
If I'm a muppet then I'm a very manly muppet
Am I a muppet or am I a man
If I'm a man that makes me a muppet of a man

Pure brilliance!

My goal is to live a life so steadfast, so honest, and so true to others that I will be remembered as not only a good man...
but a great Muppet.

I'm lukewarm on Swift too, but wouldn’t be averse to her presence. She annoys me in no way.

Nevertheless, for RNRC she lacks a certain edge, there's not enough intensity, madness, hysterics. This is a coaster! It's no coincidence RNRC currently has a hard rock band. The Muppets - I'm lukewarm on them too - do have a 'bring down the house' mayhem style that this ride needs.
