Bob doesn't invest much in the parks for nearly a decade - People say "This is great!" and spend money.

Bob 1.0 and Bob 2.0 lower the bar and raise prices significantly - People say "This is great!" and keep spending money.

Bob 2.0 and Josh lower the bar a little more and raise prices more, plus start to charge for FP's - People say "This is great!" and keep spending money.

Bob 1.0 and Josh lower the bar a little bit further and raise prices even more - People say "This is great!" and keep spending money.

And the right side of those equations keep defending the left side and also saying those who don't do what they do are just miserable people and are the problem?
As long as people keep spending money TWDC says this is great!

It was the price point which doomed this project. I remember the online reactions vividly.

Yes, there was *some* disappointment about the story being in the sequel trilogy, but there was still high anticipation and excitement (for many SW fans) surrounding this thing.

Then the rumors began leaking as to what Disney was aiming for in pricing. That's when the crapola really hit the ceiling fan, and it all went downhill from there.
That and $5k line dancing lessons…

Translation - People had their own idea of what they thought it would be, and when shown what it was, they wouldn't give up their own idea of what they thought it SHOULD have been.

The type of price point was known from the start... it's just most people didn't want to believe it and kept wanting to think it was gonna be a hotel.. and fretted over 'being stuck there'.

Not a Star Wars fan, huh?

Frequent mistake is believing Disney fans and Star Wars fans are the same circle on the Venn diagram…

That’s a proven recipe for disaster

I agree and I wonder what TWDC itself defines as "rock bottom"?

A lot of fans will say they are at rock bottom now and are currently scraping along the bottom as we speak.

For me, the failed EPCOT renovation with the ugly planter and broken ground lighting was rock bottom.

The company obviously does not feel they are anywhere near the bottom; everything they do. they define as a success.
Rock bottom probably was when Chapek supposedly was in charge. Now is only slightly better than that.

I think I learned from this year that senses of shame no longer exist in many people.

Let me draw a line of delineation between LucasWars and DisneyWars fans.

LucasWars had trite characters as exceptions, while DisneyWars has trite characters as the norm.

We just thought JarJar was bad until Disney said "Hold my beer"
