…crap…then I wasted my time for the last 5-10 years saying “He’s NOT leaving” then?Stevie Wonder could have seen that coming
I feel so betrayed

..I wonder how many years “for a while” means before Bob comes back
I’ll just give you an anecdote:It's been a day and a half for me, what part of my brain isn't working
Well you made two mistakes:The article that the vlogosphere is chamber echoing also says that Dana is still a contender.
And this was a revenue generator! How's the 24 hour room service?
..:but required a couple extra employees…And this was a revenue generator!
Just an update: people are reporting on FB that there are Mickey churro waffles on the buffet on the Fantasy. The head waiter supposedly said their discontinuation was a rumor.Speaking of Disney increasing “yield” and DCL…
There’s a scuttlebutt on social media how on the Destiny the churro waffles are only available on concierge.
To be clear: they have them on the boat, but only if you’ve already paid a premium.
There are more recent reports that servers told guests this was a special perk for that cruise since it was a DVC member cruise - more of a one-off situation.Just an update: people are reporting on FB that there are Mickey churro waffles on the buffet on the Fantasy. No idea how true or accurate this is but it’s out there.
This video makes some good points in particular about the Disney/Universal premium. But I disagree on one point. If Disney/Universal built more parks in different regions prices could come down.
This is getting kind of funny. The member cruise was on the Fantasy? There are more recent reports that servers told guests this was a special perk for that cruise since it was a DVC member cruise - more of a one-off situation.
Update: a post I saw elsewhere:

The DVC First Wave cruise on the Destiny was from 11/28-12/3.This is getting kind of funny. The member cruise was on the Fantasy?
I wouldn’t eat one of those things if you paid me but I’ll be darned if they take it away from someone else lol.
If it’s happening. The people on the Fantasy said they were at Cabana’s and the head waiter said they were not being discontinued. The DVC First Wave cruise on the Destiny was from 11/28-12/3.
As to the churro waffles, they were ~fine~ but not life changing. Perhaps it’s just the accumulation of things getting pushed behind paywalls that prompts this reaction on my part.

That’s like 3x what a division chief makessorry, the guy loses all credibility when he just throws completely made up numbers around the entire time. Work for Disney for 1mil a year? lol.. ok

The mystery continues.
Agreed. They are good but having them every day would ruin it.I just got off the Dream on Monday and they were alive and well on the final sea day of our five night cruise. They were good, but not the life-changing experience folks talk about on the interwebs.
That being said, I completely understand why people are leaning towards the cruise over the parks (although I think going from 4 ships in 2022 to 10 domestic ships once the final Triton class ship has been launched is going to cause an inventory issue for them). We loved the Dream and have already booked the Fantasy for July of next year.
Maybe wait a few years. My kids were 7 and 8 on our first cruise they loved the child clubs. They do more than just arts and crafts. They have a lot of hi-tech stuff. The tween and teen clubs are where Disney really shines in keeping the trouble makers busy. I can criticize Disney all day for their prices and the lack of walking track on the new ships, but I'll never say a bad word about their youth and teen clubs. My son is in kindergarten... my hesitation (among a few other things, like anxiety about being on a boat) is that he will not want to go to the kid's club alone, meaning I would need to entertain him on the boat all day. The boats that have things like go cart tracks, indoor playgrounds / arcades, mini golf and waterpark features look more appealing in that regard, although I don't see us doing a non-Disney cruise. The staff led family activities, I'm assuming, are not really beyond something he would do in daycare or at home on a rainy day (make crafts, play a simple game, etc.) Those are nice but to me it wouldn't be worth the money for activities we could do for free at home (and realistically, if that was the level of entertainment, we'd spend half the time arguing about when he could play on his iPad, which we also already do for free at home, ha ha.)
