I know everyone's talking about how old they were when this thread was started but to be honest, I like seeing these older threads. Look at the way people conversed and exchanged ideas not that long ago. It was far more civil, less flaming and divisive, and it reminds you of how the parks were and what everyone was keeping their eye on back then. It's fun to see what rumors came true, which were far off base, etc.
Couldn’t have said it better myself… Exactly I believe I became a member in 2005… and everyone was so much more understanding with each other. There was hardly any fights… I can’t remember what’s his name? I think it was Tron who would always cause so much trouble… But I met so many wonderful people from here and actually met up in Disney World… My main man Martin… whose birthday it is today… honestly right now my mind is going blank, trying to remember everybody by their real name… I’ll have to look back at some of my PMs.. Man was Griz real name Matt or Mark .. i’m having a very off day.

Was never around for this era, but it’s fascinating to go back and see how attitudes towards the parks have drastically changed over the last couple decades.

Came across a bunch of old threads discussing Time Racers the other day. Insane to me how some people fully anticipated SSE to close by 2005. The architectural logistics behind it were ridiculous so it makes sense why it never happened.

As has been pointed out recently the "Time Racers" concept ultimately did happen only it replaced Energy instead of SSE. The only difference is that GOTG got entwined with it. SSE does still need work to bring it out of its current and now longest running version and bring with it an intelligent script, an actual ending and a message to actually inspire people with again.
