News Next Gen Animatronic Face Tech Shows Major Leap in Disney Character Realism

I don't necessarily disagree.
I'm just hoping that there are changing tides on both sides at this point which I think based on what we've seen, is probably true. There is definitely a place for screens when scenes are impossible to depict well with physical sets but a physical set will always be more impressive than a screen save for a few specific scenarios.

Hoping the new Avengers E Ticket for example is a multi media mix (which it looks like it is similar to Ministry of Magic but I would want even more animatronics)

Realism should not be the point of AAs. Pirates and HM and WoM and the original Imagination don’t (or didn’t) feature “realistic” figures, they featured charming caricatures designed by skilled artists and arranged cleverly in layered scenes, something of which modern Disney is utterly incapable.

Except for that Walt Disney AA... that could use some more realism

Him slumping over and bleeding out hydraulic fluid is pretty darn real.

Pretty sure a lot of animatronics are designed to be realistic enough looking. You just listed off some of them that didn't but there are plenty more even old examples where they were meant to look real.

Is the drinking problem during food & wine and such really ‘that’ bad? I’ve personally never seen it get that bad all the times I’ve been, sure it happens time to time but not ‘that’ often, yeah?? But then again, I’m not a Florida local so I wouldn’t know for sure.
I think for me the problem is the local groups that come to WS and meander through it carrying enough booze to satisfy a group of sailors on shore leave. They really gum up an already overcrowded area with their .2 mph walking. You get a group of half a dozen or more (which seems to be quite common) x100 that start day drinking at 11 am and when you come back to WS at 2pm for a FP return and they're walking sideways and showing their a$$e$ (figuratively) .

What are you referring to?

They still make animatronics? I was under the impression the thought "screens" were the future.
Nah thats the place down the road
Monsters Unleashed would like a word.
Hey guys, this time we put a screen ON the animatronic, this has NEVER been done before!

A ride with so many projections/screens isn't the best gotcha :/

You could have atleast said Hagrids?

You were originally intimating that the AA's in Monsters Unchained (apologies for the naming error in my original post) don't exist. That it patently false. Then you back-peddled with some ridiculous "well, there are screenz on the AA's!!!" claim when called out. Outside of Victoria, this is again patently false. You don't even need to leave this site to see pics of a few:

You then spew some gibberish about physical sets and screens and blending things... Monsters Unchained does EXACTLY THAT. In spades. You either are pulling things out of your nether regions or are simply ignorant as to what's going on outside of the 40-ish square miles of WDW.

Honestly, Monsters Unchained is the closest thing to a true Disney-quality attraction that has been built in the swamps in decades. It's an absolute masterpiece in themed attraction design.

Aiden will always attack anything related to Universal and defend anything related to Disney. Reality doesn’t enter into it - the brand is enough. It’s a very familiar type of theme park poster from boards other than this one. In general our more positive posters like Penguin will engage critically with the parks even if their bias is heavily in one direction (we all have biases, myself very much included, so that shouldn’t be taken as an insult).
