MVMCP feels about as packed as any other night half the time.

Although trying to watch fireworks on the non-party Saturday night vs the crowds at the party on Tuesday was a huge difference. Incredibly frustrating experience with the crowd management making things worse at Magic Kingdom on the Saturday, then at the party it was pretty calm for fireworks and parade.

There's a lot of factors that go into party ticket capacity vs regular park capacity. Entertainment is a larger factor. With a special event that has more of a draw to characters parades and shows. They have to make sure attendees are able to get in the what the avg person expects to get in to their visit to feel like it was worth while.

Jollywood has a lot of reliance on low capacity characters where MVMCP has more capacity with a parade and ride overlays.

It can also vary on day of the week or whete it falls in the season. The first night will have a lower capacity as they feel things out. A weekend is going to draw more families than a week night so they may be more interested in rides which spread out crowds. Dates surrounding a peak holiday week need to have more capacity.

Even then, those capacity numbers don't fluctuate or vary too much in number. Yes the "sell out" is designed to show it is more of an exclusive event, but it is also to make sure people are satisfied with the vastly different draws than just attractions.

I personally would argue that the parties for Halloween and Christmas have become busier and less exclusive. I think Jollywood is better.

It is an increase over 2024, and what is your data to suggest the numbers are not real? The sources was MCO.
It’s flat…though travel statistics have risen proportionally pretty much since VJ Day…except in times of financial difficulty.

Are we in in financial difficulty? If that’s the conversation…then I’m willing to have it. But we have to acknowledge it.

Everything is always “booming” in Orlando…always. Just ask anyone associated with travel because the entire state and region is almost solely dependent upon it. The crane rental industry set up on either sides of I-4 would collapse otherwise. 😱

Skepticism is Healthy when quoting Orlando stats…is my stance. No one ever has to agree with me. Just as they can hate me even more when things “come around”

All levels of both the private sector and governments there benefit from fluff…it’s just how people “think” (term used extremely loosely)

My concern is: how many of those hundreds of thousands will show up in pjs, ruining the flying experience for us all?

Even Spirit is now black tie, folks. Class it up.

While there is no direct correlation to MCO throughput and Disney, I believe last year they anticipated record passenger activity at MCO but the crowds never materialized at WDW. Same with X-Mas as well.

Unless the airlines are boosting gauge to bigger planes, most have cut flights domestically due to ATC issue (that existed even before the shutdown).

I hate this “counter”

Because it takes time to wreck something so Large

It’s not like one day nobody shows up

The vulnerability grows daily
I dont disagree that this will take time but thats my point. We been saying this for years now eventually just like a broken clock is right twice a day so will be the breaking point where Disney needs to stop the insanity..

At some point you just literally cannot afford it. Pushing $1000 for a family of four for MVMCP for 5 hours is a bit insane. Not including food/drink, not including merch, etc. People will pay it, for now, but at some point the cards are maxed out

Listen i agree but how long have we been saying these exact words and yet the day has not come yet…

The real danger is the death spiral created by this.

Revenue isn't meeting expectations and they need more revenue to satisfy Investors
Raise Prices and Extract more out of Guests
Less Guests visit because it's too expense

For several decades…we see the same patterns on fan forums similar to this one…

There are always “Harbingers of doom” that everything is in imminent collapse…for a variety of angles and reasons. It hasn’t played out.

We have also seen “Disney always wins!” When things are booming…which ignores that a lot of that is and has always been reputation and blind luck…seldom is it good managers and decisions…

Two sides of the same coin in many cases…

But…

Thissey thang right here…is ACTUALLY happening and has been for a few years now. Both from what we see as the consumer and what the financial players tell you…without ever saying it.

If Disney was truly proud of itself and things were great…they’d be trumpeting more guests AND more spending per.

Just like when Saint Ron descended with the 10 commandments of capitalism from the summit of Mount Burbank…

It could go much deeper here…but I think predicting death by Christmas is silly…as is repeating at the frequency I do for things (I highly recommend avoiding that…) that it’s all a false alarm to say there’s trouble.

Both things can be and are true. Things are a little more serious now when you zoom out than they were in the highest of highs (1999 and 2015) or the lowest of lows (1992, 2002, 2009)

But the parties are half the reason it's like that on non party nights. It's a vicious cycle.

Indeed. I'm less inclined to be pugilistic in an evening tuxedo. Instead, I "use my words" (as my servants say) and eviscerate the cretins' self-worth, and, dare I say, their very soul, with the sharpness of my commentary on their slovenliness.
