Specific locations imagineers went for Animal Kingdom?

So I was thinking about this after my last trip. Does anyone know if there is a record of specific locations the imagineers went to study for Animal Kingdom?
I tried to do some searching online, but really could only find the generic "traveled around Asia and Africa"

One of the highlights of in my life was in Animal Kingdom. My family and I were in Pandora. We look over towards where they used to have a little show. Joe Rohde was standing there. My husband went up to him, and we talked to him for a little while. He was so nice. I know I've written this before, but it really meant a lot to me. Knowing he created parts of Animal Kingdom. I also like watching him on the Discovery Channel with Josh Gates.
