That’s because you’re getting older and aren’t as up on artists popular today. Welcome to the club!

I'm still in my early 30s, so nah. The lineup is just lacking star power.

Also, I checked, and most of these performers are over 40. So it's not an age thing.

When it comes to music taste you are already old, your music tastes mostly calcified by 25. By the time you’re 25 you know what you like, can pay to only listen to stuff you like, and stop listening to the hits for the most part. While you might like a few new songs here and there you’re still going to gravitate to what was played while you were in high school/college and “classics” that your parents and older siblings introduced you to when you were young, or your friends in college exposed you to.

Here's more information on the performances:

Hosted by Derek Hough, “The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular” returns for its 10th year, featuring dazzling new musical performances from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California and Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaiʻi. Narrated by Ginnifer Goodwin (voice of Judy Hopps in “Zootopia 2”), who carries on the tradition of sharing how the Disney Parks sparkle to life for the holidays, “The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular” airs MONDAY, DEC. 1, at 8:00 p.m. EST/PST on ABC, and streams next day on Hulu and Disney+.

Performances include the following:
  • Derek Hough – “We Need a Little Christmas” and “December”
  • Aloe Blacc — “This Christmas”
  • Good Charlotte — “Fairytale of New York”
  • Coco Jones — “Silent Night”
  • Mariah the Scientist — “Santa Baby”
  • Bebe Rexha — “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”
  • Nicole Scherzinger — “O Holy Night”
  • Gwen Stefani — “Shake The Snow Globe”
  • Iam Tongi — “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride”
  • Trisha Yearwood — “My Favorite Things”
Fairytale of New York is an interesting choice for a Disney Christmas…

I’m going to watch that section, at least, just for the novelty of a Pogues song playing in a Disney park 😆

I saw this and said the exact same thing! I'm guessing the lyrics have been re-written, because there's no way this would ever fly on a Disney broadcast. I even had to play the song with lyrics for my girlfriend, and she just shook her head as well. REALLY hoping there was a Pogues fan that set this up from the inside. Going to be interesting, that's for sure.
(For those that don't know, Google the lyrics......)

When they were using the song " Good life" for the parks promos a few years back if they did use the longer version they had to edit out the BS word in the song or change it like they did here.

Incase your wondering when it comes..it's after the first chorus

Sometimes there's airplanes I can't jump out
Sometimes there's BS that don't work now
We all got our stories but please, tell me
What there's to complain about

I am 24 years old and there is exactly one (1) artist in the line up who would hold any relevance to anyone under 30. I know who most of them are because I've got a fairly diverse music taste, but most of these are legacy acts, not anything current or "hip"

I wouldn't call them legacy acts in terms of being huge popular stars (or even very bankable old acts which had a large amount of popularity at one point) - most of them aren't. At least to me.

I’d say most aren’t legacy acts or popular “stars”. But apparently someone with “diverse music taste” knows better. 🙄

The video is private?

Just seeing this - it was available for several hours on Friday and marked private at some point in the afternoon.

Here's a new YouTube link to the Holiday Spectacular that airs tonight on ABC - it appears the show will be available starting at 3am ET:

This lineup reminds me of the IBC production of The Christmas Carol...
