DL had their Enchanted Tiki Room under refurbishment for several months. It was closed when I was there in May. Not sure what they did.

Probably an unpopular opinion but while I appreciate its significance in theme park history, I'd be open to an update that preserved the animatronics and theme but added something new. I didn't hate Under New Management, so maybe I'm just weird like that. I just find the original show to be too long and boring. I enjoy the A/C though!
It was actually shortened from the original show. The original Country Bears was shortened too. Disney wanted a quicker throughput. If you shortened it any more, you wouldn't have a show.

Ha, very true. I guess it just drags for me, probably because UNM was my core memory of this attraction. I'm always waiting for Iago to disrupt the song and it doesn't happen! 🤣

Totally agree. My partner suggested that the Tiki Room be moved to the Polynesian to be preserved for it's significance, freeing up some room for an Adventureland refresh.

There's not a lot of room to work with, same reason why it was hard to replace Country Bears with something else
In fairness, the fiddle scene was cut for the shortened version. It was brought back as a new scene for playing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
