That would be interesting. Can definitely see the potential of combining HBO Max and Peacock a la Disney+ and Hulu. Of course the theme park implications are obvious. More Harry Potter.

If Comcast ever bought Warner Bros. Discovery, the theme park implications would be absolutely wild.

Even without immediately buying out or canceling Six Flags’ DC and Looney Tunes deals (which probably wouldn’t be hard given how rough Six Flags’ finances are) Comcast could do a ton. DC could finally replace Marvel Super Hero Island, while WB and Cartoon Network properties could breathe new life into Toon Lagoon, and Epic Universe could expand with freshly acquired IPs. And if Six Flags somehow hangs on to their current licenses, Universal still wins: Cartoon Network and Adult Swim could anchor a reimagined Toon Lagoon, while Vertigo and WildStorm step in to update Marvel Super Hero Island.

Then there’s The Lost Continent. Universal could fairly easily transform it into a Lord of the Rings land.

Oh, and they’d own Shark Week and The Matrix. That’s just cool.

I didn’t even think of LotR. That would be absolutely amazing. Lots of synergy in that deal I’m sure they’ll pursue it aggressively.

Warner Bros does not own the global rights to Lord of the Rings for a physical property. It leased them for the films.

Though i agree that this would have always made more sense than nonsensically pursuing Sky. Comcast is fence sitting on streaming and risk being consumed into Netflix.
