I feel your pain, flying to/from JFK/MCO beginning of December. I keep telling myself the shutdown will end by then. But here we are, and it keeps going, and going....

I suppose statistically that's true, right? 10% is a low number. But it still has to come from somewhere, and it will stink for whichever people end up with flights cancelled.

It did feel pretty dystopian waiting for confirmation from SW that our flight tomorrow wasn't impacted, but as of now we're good to go.

I'm a little more concerned about our MCO-CMH return on Sunday than I am getting down there.

Especially around the holidays when people like to travel. And we are getting close to that!

I hope they get at least a continuing resolution in place before the holidays or the traffic will be even worse than usual.

That is probably true for right now. Right now is one of the slowest times of the year. It probably won't be difficult to re-accommodate passengers. As far as I know there aren't any big weather issues. If this drags into Thanksgiving....yikes.

When the shutdown was announced I thought for sure it would last a week or 2 (like most), now I’m starting to worry about our flights for a DCL Christmas cruise in early December, we always fly in a day early so we have a cushion but it’s still adding unneeded stress. If it extends into Thanksgiving travel no one in Washington is going to be immune from intense anger from the entire country, they need to resolve this fast.

It literally can’t last that long. Too many things will break including mass walkouts by essential federal staff who need to find other jobs to eat. One way or the other this will be resolved before Christmas.
