MK All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

Frankly, they could trade Asha out for Pocahontas and it would be a win. The number of folks I heard ask why Pocahontas was wearing a purple dress was shocking. Slap Grandmother Willow Tree on that thing and put Meeko and John Smith on the ground and we'd have a WINNER folks!
Agree completely, but no shot at getting characters on the ground in this parade, apparently Tink got the exclusive. They might be able to paste them onto the tiny screen used for Star though.

I can’t believe I have to defend Wish and Asha, but this is one of the few things where Wish works as one of the IPs due to the theme of the parade. In the handful of park things Asha has been in, this is one of two that work.
I get what you’re saying, but if this float was changed or didn’t exist at all, would it really hurt the parade at all? It’s not like all of the featured movies fit the theme anyway.

Keep in mind when Starlight went into development. Iger always wants the latest IP featured in some way, even though it might be long forgotten once the final product rolls out years later.

I agree that, if there MUST be Wish, this is a good use. I just don't think we need Wish in the parks. It's like Home on the Range to me.

It's not like Disney has a small number of movies involving wishes or wishes is a particularly tight theme. They had many, many options that are well liked. How about anything featured on the final float? Four solid picks right there.

Could've given Pinocchio a real float instead of hiding him in Blue Fairy's dress.

Sorcerer's Apprentice/Fantasia

Cinderella

Could've done Mulan with the fireworks at the Emperor's palace or Hercules with Olympus and the constellations for something different from the other parades.

The only thing Wish has over the majority of the rest of Disney's catalog is that it literally says the word "wish" a lot. And even then it's not particularly unique in that regard.

THAT’S what this parade needs! I can see it now—Alameda Slim in a glowing rodeo outfit as Yodel-Aadle-Eedle-Idle-OOooooh plays…

Unironically, I enjoy that song much more than anything from Wish.

The Wish float could easily be remade into a Pocahontas float.

But that'll just be a lateral move.

Howabout Winnie the Pooh?

Indeed! I finally saw it on my 4th or 5th viewing? Haha.

Just Like the entire parade - it’s a good concept - but it doesn’t quite work the way it should.
I really enjoyed the parade to be honest, though I agree elements of it could be improved. It would be good if they could slow the Blue Fairy float down to ensure everyone got to see the effect.

It appears showtimes for Disney Starlight shift to 7pm and 9:45pm starting December 22, according to an update to the Walt Disney World website. No showtimes have been added yet past December 22.
