Approaching 4 months and no flying? Costumes aren't fixed? Sigh...
It’s pathetic, truly.

DLE has the institutional knowledge how to do so (going back long before it was "founded"), far as I've heard it was legal who blocked it.It’s pathetic, truly.

Agreed. The lack of flying is far from being this parade’s biggest defect. More characters and live performers would do wonders, but they cost money, and apparently Disney is hurting too badly.I can forgive the lack of flying (even though it makes the scene lacklustre).
The rest of my issues with the parade I cannot.
Am I the only person who likes this parade more each time I see it? I actually think it’s very well done and for today’s attention spans being shorter, it actually works very nicely.
I really like it but they need to have all of the planned performers and fix broken effects. Hopefully, they are already planning whatever unit replaces Wish.Am I the only person who likes this parade more each time I see it? I have heard more people say, what is that? who is that on that float?..It certainly has guests perplexed.. But I can't see them replacing it, have their been rumblings? Because if they can't run half the effects and dancers in the parade or add more characters, then there is no way they spend money on changing an entire float. I guess you could put Winnie the Pooh under the tree instead and add some buzzing bees, but that would mean musical changes as well and thats too much $$$ for TDO in thought.I really like it but they need to have all of the planned performers and fix broken effects. I’m ok with the length, times have changed and it’s unlikely MK could handle something longer just based on crowd control alone. What I’m not ok with is the complete lack of characters and live performers on the ground, just too much dead space between the floats. They can do it for Boo To You so they could at least show an effort here, but this doesn’t come with an upcharge.Am I the only person who likes this parade more each time I see it? They do have a history of changing out floats in these parades for whatever the new movie is. It’s been done for PtN.I have heard more people say, what is that? who is that on that float?..It certainly has guests perplexed.. But I can't see them replacing it, have their been rumblings? Unfortunately that’s DLR though, they’ve typically catered to the local crowd and understand the need for updates. They do have a history of changing out floats in these parades for whatever the new movie is. It’s been done for PtN.
I agree Spectro is part of the issue for many of us here. And I don’t think it’s just blind nostalgia. The Starlight floats are beautiful overall and an upgrade technology-wise. It just just doesn’t connect the same and I think the lack of characters and performers is the main reason why.I use my sister as a Normal Person barometer since she's much less cynical than me and still enjoys long processions of Disney references.
She didn't like it either. Or at least was disappointed.
Unlike me she saw SpectroMagic enough times to remember it.
Careful! It’s a trap!!!! I was scolded for calling it the wish float and not Asha’s float cause it was wrong that I wasn’t using her name.I have heard more people say, what is that? who is that on that float?..It certainly has guests perplexed..

Wish I had gotten this after my visit, I would've given my thumbs a workoutFwiw, got a survey after visiting MK that asked about Starlight and asked if anything impacted our enjoyment in several categories, one of which was length. It also asked if we’d seen other nighttime parades such as Spectro, Electric, etc. (Also went back through ranking all rides in terms of iconic, immersive, personal favorite, boring, offensive, etc., plus a lot of demographic info.)
All the surveys I've ever got from Disney limit my ability to respond to about 500 characters. My opinions are not enough for that...Wish I had gotten this after my visit, I would've given my thumbs a workout
