This one’s making the rounds in Puerto Rico social media.

On April 25, 2025, at Volcano Bay, reggaetón artist Anuel AA (real name Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago) allegedly attacked a guest in the park. The lawsuit was filed in Orange County.

What’s in the complaint:
Guest Fernando Dávila says he was beaten by Anuel and several members of his entourage in a public area of the park, unprovoked.
His mom (Theresa Castillo) and young daughter were with him and saw the whole thing.
He’s claiming serious physical injuries, permanent scarring, and ongoing trauma.

Universal is named too - the argument is they didn’t staff enough security in an area known for crowd issues.

Counts filed:
Negligence/negligent security (Universal)
Assault and battery (Anuel + entourage)
Negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress (because family witnessed it)

Damages:
They’re asking for compensatory and punitive damages. Filing notes “over $50,000” just to get it into circuit court, but the number’s obviously open-ended. Jury trial demanded.

Key detail:
Anuel wasn’t there as a performer - just a guest. The complaint still says Universal should’ve known a celebrity showing up in the middle of a water park crowd was a security risk.

My thought:
I don’t see Universal at fault here. Celebrities visit the parks every single day, most of them as regular paying guests, and with little exception, they don’t get some special security bubble. Unless they’re an A-lister, a controversial politician, POTUS/VPOTUS, there on a media event or hired appearance, it’s on them. If Anuel and his entourage really went after another guest, that’s on him - not Universal.

Universal apparently should have known he considers himself a celebrity. Never heard of him.

He has several platinum albums, many platinum/multiplatinum and gold singles, and has been nominated for and won multiple major awards.

Remember, there’s an entire world of music outside of the English language.
