taking this drift a bit further... My wife and I just got back from Dollywood. We attended the media event yesterday. The ride looks to be amazing. How is it that Dollywood can open Nightflight Expedition, a ride that is infinitely more creative, innovative, and exciting than PP in the same time that Disney takes to drain the former ROA?
Rhetorical questions of course. We all know why.
Now, while I can support the argument that this new attraction is more creative than some recent new Disney rides, Dollywood had an empty field to work in (way above any water table), and it is a completely enclosed ride. To me, it looks like it has taken a very long time for them to get this far... Disney-like slow. I could not even notice a difference between our July 7 visit and yesterday.
BTW, it is interesting to be a fan of both parks, and see other fans have the same types of arguments. Most recently, announced changes to the Dollywood season passes are causing an uproar and people claiming they are never going back or can no longer afford the Dollywood passes and will buy WDW passes instead, as the WDW passes are a better value. I just have to shake my head... my 2025 Diamond pass was only $331 (with my veteran discount).
