Wasn’t the original sign this one replaced simpler without all the “native” details?

I’m not sure the original even said Adventureland, interestingly enough. At the very least I just recently watched some video from the 70’s where it was absent.

It seems my prediction was correct! Though I must point out there are some skulls missing from the bottom of the sign right now.

They used to design land reveals so well back in the day, just look at the planter then hard right out of view is the land

Shouldn’t need to. Removing skulls in response to… what? Someone complained? Someone was triggered? They’re scary? Hey, aren’t they supposedly going to build an entire land devoted to scary villains? I wonder how that will play out if someone, somewhere, decided skulls on a sign were too scary…

I'm actually shocked they brought it back. I was expecting it to look like the Cracker Barrel logo after they were done with it. Huh, I guess maybe there's at least one or two sane people still in Imagineering.
