Universal eats Disney's lunch at GTA

I thought this was about Grand Theft Auto. Which is interesting because we’re going to get GTA6 before a coherent plan for “beyond Big Thunder.”
Yeah, that's the first thing that comes to mind for me when I see GTA. But imagine the possibilities of a GTA/Disney team up! Retool the Speedway and call it Liberty City Drive-By Adventure-the ride vehicles are Banshees & Infernos, and each ride vehicle is equipped with Buzz-like guns that riders can fire at targets beside the track, with sets around the track resembling the streets of Liberty City. The possibilities are endless. Retool Frontierland into Red Dead Land!

Yeah, I can see Disney being upset at this. I mean, Six Flags puts them to shame as well here. Maybe Disney can rectify that and buy a few of their parks as SF tries to avoid bankruptcy....

They should be upset about losing best guest experience to Dollywood. Disney used to be all about the guest experience.

Unfortunately it will be dismissed cause Dollywood isn't a week long vacation destination. IMO it should speak volumes to Disney and Universal when Dollywood and Busch Gardens are up there in terms of guest experience and beauty. At one time there was a huge gap between Disney and these parks.

It really wasn't since 2000. 2003 they weren't top 3 for any of those categories either.

Now, HILARIOUSLY, they were in there in 1999. For..... Fastest-moving lines.

Disney values IAAPA's Brass Ring awards much more... At least those are somewhat standardized and very highly prized. This is a group that awarded Knoebels best food in the industry for 22 years. No I am not joking. So I tend to take their awards less seriously than I could. And they're not alone.

Remember Universal bragged for years about Mythos being the best theme park restaurant in the world based on polls for many years conducted by a different group (it's not - but at least it can be said the food is good enough). They had a giant banner for much of that time announcing the fact, which I'm 100% sure Disney would never dare have... Point is, awards are strange and unless they're conducted with rigor (or have the industry behind them) I feel like we ought not take them too seriously.

Real question is which happens first: Tropical Americas opens of GTA6 comes out?
We’ve already seen an in-game video rendering of GTA6. For Tropical Americas, Encanto hasn’t even gone vertical and Dinosaur doesn’t close until February.

Heck, we might get GTA6 Online before TA.

GTA 15 will have been released, and they will have replaced Cars and Villains with new lands, before Elder Scrolls VI comes out.
