I'm just glad that something is being build on that land. The fact that River Country was just left abandoned for so long and never properly demolished wasn't great.
I'm hoping whatever pool they have has some kind of River Country link. That'd be a nice throwback

I’ll never understand why Disney stuck the riviera right in the middle of CBR. Could have just made the DVC Caribbean themed also and made it one complex. Really hate how it ruined the whole vibe of that area.

And this is exactly what is happening to Fort Wilderness now.

Yes though when done it looks like it’ll have a kind of woodsy feel to the building and they’ve already started to some good landscaping to help blend it in. The riviera tower is a giant grey box in the middle of a tropical resort. Neither are great options, but reflections looks like the lesser of the two evils.

Some of the original concept art showed characters from Bambi outside the Reflections entry way. Anybody know if this is still planned, and could it indicate something about the theming.

My guess is the “story” will be based on how nature/wilderness has inspired Disney artists over the years with a focus on those IP. I’d love to see a day where a Disney resort goes back to the theme being “a different time and place”

Just a suggestion -- you can easily crop a lot of that water foreground out of the pictures you post, saving bandwidth and space on the page...

As your editor, I'm going to have to ask you to include the words "activation", "inspired", and at least one contractually required "magic". Good work otherwise. Oh and don't forget the requirement to mention DVC so we can embed a hyperlink in the piece as a sales lead.
