It was so beautiful outside on the lounge. It was so enjoyable to just relax for a little bit while we decided what we wanted to do for the rest of the night.

We decided to visit Magic Kingdom. When we were ready, we made our way to the bus stop at the Riviera and caught a bus. On the way, I noticed it had started to rain outside. As we were walking in the park, a ton of people were exiting. I was hoping that was a good sign for us - maybe the park was emptying out.

Our first stop should be no surprise, even though Hope was not with us, we went to go see Monsters Laugh Floor.

IMG_4943.JPG

I FaceTime Hope and let her watch it with us. (I was happy the monsters did not call me out for having my phone out.) I could tell she was so very excited to see it.

When we exited, the rain was all but done, at least for now...

After Monsters, we went to Buzz that had a 25 minute standby.

After a restroom break, we had to decide if we were going to watch the fireworks or do something else. We decided to take advantage of the low weight times since it was so close to fireworks and it would’ve been hard to find a spot. Ross wanted to watch PhilharMagic, but I suggested we do Haunted Mansion since it was only posted at 15 minutes. This time lied. We just walked right on.

IMG_5007.JPG

After Haunted Mansion, we made our way to Peter Pan, which had a 30 minute wait. Unfortunately, we weren’t even on line two minutes when a cast member started yelling to exit immediately. (And yes, she was yelling!). Everyone was evacuated out. It was very strange. Later we were told there was some sort of fire!

We went to go to Philharmagic, but they were evacuating that area as well. (Same reason). We chose IASW instead.

Ross decided it was nap time.

We walked over to 7DMT which also showed a 30 min wait - which it was.

We did finally see the orchestra. As we were leaving, there were 2 strollers in the middle of the walkway right near 7DMT. One of which, the one with the towels over it, we were pretty sure had a child in it! People were string at it because there were NO adults near them. It was crazy.

Ross wanted to go over and take a peak, but I told him no way! We notice a CM walking over toward them so we just moved on.

We exited the park and got a bus back to Riverside. Gotta say it's nice not to have the longest walk back to the bus stop. Sorry POP. lol

Once at Riverside, we filled our mugs and headed back to our room. Time for nighty night!

Day 3 - June 18

We started off today at our quiet pool and spent a good hour so there. The morning was beautiful. The only thing missing was a hot tub located along with the quiet pool. I wish the main pool opened up a little earlier.

We took our time getting ready as usual and then hopped the bus around 11:30 for Animal Kingdom. I have to say, a huge plus to “traveling “ during non-peak hours really gave way to empty busses!

I had decided to book Lightning Lanes for 4 of our days - one time in each park. I figured we would want to ride some rides and Ross has a breathing issue that makes standing in long lines somewhat of an issue. The heat and certain scents affect him. So it made sense to put LL in our budget. Today was one of the days that I booked LLs. I had the intention of starting the day at Animal Kingdom and then park hopping over to Magic Kingdom later on in the day. I will say, being able to use the DAS pass with Hope, I was not so up to date with using LLs. Thankfully, a few days before we left, Rob from Ear Scouts posted a LL tutorial video on You Tube. It was a lifesaver!

We got to AK a little afternoon time. Our first lightning lane was Kali River Rapids. Normally I don’t like getting soaking wet on this ride. But it was a hot day, so I figured I would drive off quickly. We found a locker and put all our stuff in. I have no pictures because I left my phone in the locker. I didn’t want to take a chance that it would get soaked along with me. As it was, I really didn’t get fully soaked, but a very nice splash. There was a little girl with her Mom & Dad riding with us who was crying because she did not want to ride! By the end of the ride, she was happy.

Our next ride was over in Pandora for the Navi River journey. Normally, we don’t really like this ride and wouldn’t of care to ride it, but I felt that I might as well get my moneys worth of buying the LL. Lol

On our way, we stopped to watch FOTLK, since the show was going in.

I don’t know, but for some reason I find this park is the most difficult to navigate. I never know whether to turn left or right. And I think we always end up walking the furthest distance to get to wherever we need to go.

We continued on. One day I’m actually gonna figure out how to take better pictures in dark rides and at night time. Because for some reason, my pictures always come out blurry.

By this time, I was really hungry. Ross got a Night blossom and one of the cream cheese spring rolls.

IMG_5048.JPG

I had something more savory in mind. I was craving cheeseburger pods! I mobile ordered. I ordered a kids meal cheeseburger pod and I also got one of their Matcha cold brews.

I had to send a picture to Julia who is a Matcha fanatic. It was odd. I enjoyed it, but Matcha just doesn’t go with coffee to me. It’s like mixing iced tea and cold brew together, but somehow this sort of worked. I’m not sure I would get it again, but it wasn’t bad. Well except for the whipped cream on top. That was a little gross. I’m just not I’ll whipped cream and hundred degree weather kind of girl. So I didn’t have any of that. As I was waiting for them to get my cold brew, I saw this dessert on another tray. I commented to the girl how pretty it was. All of a sudden, she plopped one on my tray and said happy anniversary! It was so sweet. And it was extremely delish!!

After our much-needed snack, we decided to our flight of passage. It was posting a 60-minute wait but 30 minutes later, we were entering the link chambers.

I was sad because expedition Everest was down all day. And didn’t show any sign of coming back up. They actually sent out a push notification apologizing and saying that it was down.

As most of you know, Animal Kingdom is not our favorite park. We didn’t really feel like walking around the paths or watch the Nemo show. I had a lightning lane for the Safari, but Ross one did not want to do it and I didn’t really care all that much. So the last thing we had was an expired lightning lane for dinosaur. And when I say expired, it’s really expired. It had expired about three hours before. We figured if they didn’t take it, it was no big deal. Dinosaur isn’t quite my favorite. I like the concept of Dinoland - always have. But I think they could’ve done so much more with it than what they did. When we scanned in, Mickey’s had turned blue. But the cast members put us through without any issue.

Once we were off time, Ross was hungry. So we stopped in a Restaurantosaurus and he got a salad. He said it wasn’t the greatest. It’s funny because this is probably the last time we will eat here and this was I believe one of the first places we ever ate with Julia. It was when it was still McDonald’s. I don’t have any pictures. It’s sad because I can’t find where my early pictures from our first trips are.

IMG_5093.JPG

After that, we headed out. I stopped at the Joffrey’s right outside the entrance because I was trying to find the annual passholder drink to get the stamps, but it turns out that it’s not at every Joffery's cart. At AK, it was located at the one in Asia, which obviously we were not walking back to. Does this mean another trip to Animal Kingdom this trip? Maybe.

IMG_5097.JPG

We headed out to the bus and found the one that would directly go to Magic Kingdom. It had just left so we waited about 20 minutes for another one to come.
