I’m totally confused, that’s a lake side end of wing, which you circled on the map as DVC.

The block you showed as cash are behind the pool complex.

Sorry my internet is absolutely terrible right now.

The only thing pictured in my two pictures above are the cash rooms (the metal structure is the lobby) . The pool complex is going in there. It’s just that massive and there are like three different bays that look out into various sections of the lake.

This photo is from the Contemporary docks, absolutely nothing you see in this picture are in my two photos above. It’s entirely behind, but facing a different part of the lake.

There’s three entirely separate bays. One pointing out to Wilderness (covered in trees), one pointing to Bay Lake and the third I just posted above that directionally points more towards Discovery island and the lake beyond.

I would define the cash rooms as mostly similar or in some cases directionally better than what they define as Ocean view at Aulani.

Is it possible that Disney is actively trying to turn all of the surrounding area into just an entrance to WDW? It seems that way, they more they add units like this the fewer businesses along the way are going to survive. To me, a person that out of 48 visits to WDW has only stayed onsite once and that was a mistake. I hated the confining feeling it gave me. The problem is that as the non-Disney Veterans are the target and unlike myself are able to experience all the world outside of the World there is, or at least were, able to enjoy. Greed is something that usually backfires on most companies and make no mistake about it Disney is one of the biggest companies in existance and it is starting to feel like one to outsiders. Disney got famous by appealing to the common folk, not the wealthy. I'm afraid that it will catch up to them eventually. In the 80's, for example, the entire area surrounding WDW felt alive and exciting, now it is more a grouping of dead businesses and depressing as hell. I guess management thinks that is ideal because you have to go to them to feel good at all. Just one of the many reasons why it is doubtful I will ever go again. I loved the excitement build up there was just driving into the area. Now it's just highways and impending doom driving on them.

I can’t recall if we’ve had reconfirmation about this? Reflections was supposed to include a “fireworks lounge” and well… this 3/4th floor is the most perfectly centred block for fireworks views.

But also something going on with the top floors there too. It was also supposed to have a presidential suite on the cash side.

A Presidential suite and a Vice Presidential suite.

Everything else from the past several days will need to wait until at least tomorrow.

Fireworks lounge for all or club level space? I'd be surprised to not see a club level and I'd guess they'd want a nice view.

I’m guessing based on Reflections concept art. But it appears to be akin to the new Poly Island Tower viewing locations, but triple the size. So I’d assume policies would run the same, for all hotel guests. Window behind the camera.

But your statement about tapering isn't the win you think it is.

I wasn’t trying to be antagonistic towards you or looking for “a win”!

I just really thought it look like it was going to taper when it was going up. I’m rather happy it is, it looks better and preserves Wilderness Lodge by keeping it below the tree line. Three more floors here would have sucked. That’s the win I’m celebrating.

They are going to bulldoze the trees, right?

North elevation is from the lake, south elevation is from the entrance side.

And anyone who posts pics of a building is going to have to be more specific about where it is:

  • Blue is roughly where Bay Lake is
  • S4 in that image is the main lobby and Porte Cochere
  • Lakeside is mostly DVC, S1-S4 are mostly cash rooms
  • TSR is just to the upper right of S6
  • Main pool area is "above" the main lobby and between those two eastern wings
  • Community Hall should be on the 7th floor of S7 facing the lake
  • I honestly have no idea right now what is on the top 3 floors of the S9 wing. Maybe that's a lounge? Haven't looked any deeper right now.

Thank you! That’s made things much clearer.
