A couple of weeks ago I noticed that some changes were made to the Peter Pan float, I'm assuming it has something to do with being able to get flying to work? Really hope they get that working, it'll be a real showstopper once they do!

I saw this parade again last night on Main Street for the second time. I kept looking at the crowd up and down the street as the floats passed by. People LOVE this parade. You can see it in their faces and their reactions. The floats are captivating, especially the last one with all of the characters on it. We walked from Tiana’s, all the way down to Main Street to find a spot and the entire length was jammed with people. This was an absolute home run.

Or, as has been mentioned before, people are so starved for a new parade, they'll take anything at this point.

Of course it's enjoyable to an average guest. It's Disney. It'd have to be really bad for everyone to collectively hate something Disney. Aside from maybe Paint the Night or MSEP this is the only electrical parade many people have experienced or will ever experience unless Universal decides to up their game domestically. Doesn't mean it's not enjoyable, but I won't praise it for being groundbreaking or innovative when it isn't. Starlight's is obviously a technological advancement for night parades at WDW, though you'd be comparing it to MSEP or Spectro which are 30+ years old. If I was completely unaware that Disney has a better quality night parade on the other side of the country, or an even grander night parade overseas, then I would've settled for Starlight. I'm sure it's still magical to all the people watching, but that doesn't dismiss the fact that it's lacking.

I can’t argue that is probably true for some people. But I believe that is a smaller bucket of fans that have been going for decades to potentially both coasts to make that type of determination.

There are many types of fans and I feel that the majority haven’t missed other night parades and are judging and reacting to this on its own merits.

I think that you and I are coming in on different ends of this parade. I have not seen Spectro but I have seen the original nighttime parade and this is an upgrade to me. There is more pagaentry to this one. I’ve seen PtN only on YouTube. That one looks like a big celebration. This has a slightly more regal feel to it. As it stands I really enjoy it. But I understand that true legacy fans might not be as excited by it. Everyone will have their opinions.

Devils advocate, or maybe they removed the tall buildings, as they aren’t going to fly anymore, and this will improve the view of Peter and Wendy for guests.

I tuned out of the conversation once pictures started showing up. It looks better in person than the imagineering episode. My favourite parade is still PTN. Controversially (I’m assuming) I think I like it similarly to Dreamlights.

I really liked the soundtrack. A mash up of those two parades would probably have left everyone happy.

I seemed to have accidentally found an ideal spot and a lot of the unit transformation occurred in front of me. I was unspoiled that there were a lot of those things. It also has been rainy and there were no ground performers. From the sounds of things that may have been to my advantage. The character clapping baroque hoedown segment occurred also in front of me. Very reminescent of the small world portion of Dreamlights, which is my favourite part of that parade.

Hopefully they iterate on it a tad and don’t leave it untouched for 30 years. But I felt like it has amazing bones.

We had a similar spot, I guess, in that we saw a lot of the transformations in front of us and even for lesser floats like Wish they really made it "magical" and was something I hadn't seen ahead of time

Agree that there are good bones, really just add more ground performers - dancers AND characters and I think it will be great
