Never had it with turkey -- how did you like it, compared to ground beef, and/or some beef/sausage combination?

I've used ground turkey in chili in the past, but stopped buying it. Reason was that the last package (about 4 years ago) had bone pieces through it, that was not visible looking at the package. Made chili in pan, and only noticed the bone pieces then, because the darker spice colors, etc., made the white bone fragments stand out. Had to throw out the entire pan of chili.Ground turkey can be kind of flavorless, so whenever I use it I add extra seasonings (salt, garlic, pepper, Italian seasoning...) when I fry it up. It also absorbs flavors pretty well too. Sometimes I will buy ground turkey that is already seasoned, the kinds I usually see in the store are Italian or Taco seasoned. Oh, it also lacks fat so when frying it up I add a little olive oil that is more heart healthy than some other oils just to make sure it doesn't stick to the pan.

Nothing wrong with instant mashed potatoes! Add cream cheese to them it makes them even better. Also, I should mention adding sour cream, chives and topping them with shredded cheddar cheese. You never cease to amaze me with your (weeknight!) creative meals!
