Never had it with turkey -- how did you like it, compared to ground beef, and/or some beef/sausage combination?

We all like it plenty fine, actually…!!!!! :hungry:
We used to eat a lot of ground turkey (substituted for beef in different dishes) years ago when I lost about 75 lbs.
We ate it for dinner on Sunday evenin’, and I had the leftovers for lunch yesterday and today…!!! :)

Ground turkey can be kind of flavorless, so whenever I use it I add extra seasonings (salt, garlic, pepper, Italian seasoning...) when I fry it up. It also absorbs flavors pretty well too. Sometimes I will buy ground turkey that is already seasoned, the kinds I usually see in the store are Italian or Taco seasoned. Oh, it also lacks fat so when frying it up I add a little olive oil that is more heart healthy than some other oils just to make sure it doesn't stick to the pan.

I've used ground turkey in chili in the past, but stopped buying it. Reason was that the last package (about 4 years ago) had bone pieces through it, that was not visible looking at the package. Made chili in pan, and only noticed the bone pieces then, because the darker spice colors, etc., made the white bone fragments stand out. Had to throw out the entire pan of chili. :(

Yes, we do same with both ground turkey and chicken.

We’ve never had that issue. We get our ground beef, turkey and chicken from our local H•E•B. All well-priced and good quality. I like a decent amount of fat in my beef, as it adds flavor, but the turkey and chicken we get is pretty lean.
Again, never had any issues with bone, or connective tissue, for that matter.
